Lanton is an unincorporated community in southern Howell County, Missouri, United States. It is located on Missouri Route 17 between Missouri Route 142 and the Arkansas Arkansas ( ) is a landlocked state in the South Central United States. It is bordered by Missouri to the north, Tennessee and Mississippi to the east, Louisiana to the south, and Texas and Oklahoma to the west. Lanton, Northumberland
Lanton is a hamlet and former civil parish, now in the parish of Ewart, in the north of the county of Northumberland, near the town of Wooler, the Cheviots and the Scottish Borders. The hamlet lies in the valley of Glendale, which takes its name from the River Glen. In 1951 the parish had a population of 56. A prominent landmark on Lanton Hill is the Lanton Monument built by Alexander Davison in dedication to his brother, John Davison of Lanton, in 1827. Lansoprazole
Lansoprazole, sold under the brand name Prevacid among others, is a medication which reduces stomach acid. It is used to treat peptic ulcer disease, gastroesophageal reflux disease, and Zollinger–Ellison syndrome. Effectiveness is similar to other proton pump inhibitors (PPIs). It is taken by mouth. Onset is over a few hours and effects last up to a couple of days. Common side effects include constipation, abdominal pain, and nausea. Serious side effects may include osteoporosis, low blood magnesium, ''Clostridium difficile'' infection, and pneumonia. Use in pregnancy and breastfeeding is of unclear safety. It works by blocking H+/K+-ATPase in the parietal cells of the stomach. Lansoprazole was patented in 1984 and came into medical use in 1992. It is available as a generic medication.
