Lansdowne FC
Lansdowne Football Club, also sometimes referred to as Lansdowne Rugby Football Club, is a rugby union team based in Dublin, Ireland. It was founded in 1872 by Henry Dunlop as the ''Irish Champion Athletic Club''. Its senior team currently plays in Division 1A of the All-Ireland League. The club's playing colours are black, red and yellow hoops, with navy shorts. Lansdowne have won the Leinster Senior Cup a record 28 times, winning it for the first in 1891. Lansdowne won the All Ireland League for the first time in March 2013 and also won the Fraser McMullen cup in the same season. Lansdowne completed the "All Ireland Double" again in May 2015 winning the All Ireland League and the Fraser McMullen again. Irish Rugby Football Union
The Irish Rugby Football Union (IRFU) ( ga, Cumann Rugbaí na hÉireann) is the body managing rugby union in the island of Ireland (both Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland). The IRFU has its head office at 10/12 Lansdowne Road and home ground at Aviva Stadium, where adult men's Irish rugby union international matches are played. In addition, the Union also owns the Ravenhill Stadium in Belfast, Thomond Park in Limerick and a number of grounds in provincial areas that have been rented to clubs. Metropolitan Cup
The Ron Massey Cup (formerly known as the Bundaberg Red Cup and Jim Beam Cup) is a semi-professional development level rugby league competition in New South Wales (NSW), Australia, run jointly by the New South Wales Rugby League (NSWRL) and the Country Rugby League of New South Wales (CRL). The competition is run concurrently with the National Rugby League (NRL). It currently comprises 13 teams drawn from the Sydney metropolitan area. The competition is named after Ron Massey, a former rugby league coach. Ron Massey died 19 September 2016. The competition is an expanded version of the former Metropolitan Cup and Second Division competitions. The competition was renamed the Bundaberg Red Cup after the 2008 season (the last Jim Beam Cup season), after Bundaberg replaced former sponsor Jim Beam. Harry Byrne
Harry Byrne (born 22 April 1999) is an Irish rugby union player who is currently a member of the Leinster academy. He plays as a fly-half and represents Lansdowne in the All-Ireland League. Leinster Whilst still in Leinster's academy, Byrne was selected in the provinces pre-season squad, and he went on to score 17 points in their 47–17 win against Coventry, as well as featuring in the 38–35 win against Canada. Following his pre-season performances, Byrne was selected on the bench for Leinster's opening 2019–20 Pro14 fixture away to Italian side Benetton on 28 September 2019, and he replaced older brother Ross in the 69th minute, scoring a late penalty to secure a 32–27 win for Leinster. Dan Sheehan (rugby Union)
Dan Patrick Sheehan (born 17 September 1998) is an Irish professional rugby union player who plays as a hooker for United Rugby Championship club Leinster and the Ireland national team. Club career Sheehan signed his first professional contract for Leinster in June 2020. He made his Leinster debut in October 2020 in Round 3 of the 2020–21 Pro14 against Zebre, scoring two tries. Rónan Kelleher
Rónan Kelleher (born 24 January 1998) is an Irish professional rugby union player who plays as a hooker for United Rugby Championship club Leinster and the Ireland national team. Early life Kelleher was initially an outside back and then a back-row for much of his underage years. He then transitioned to prop, before finally settling on hooker. He attended St. Michael's College, Dublin where his father was principal. His older brother Cian Kelleher is a fellow professional rugby union player. Tadhg Beirne
Tadhg Gerard Beirne (; born 8 January 1992) is an Irish rugby union player, currently playing for Munster in the United Rugby Championship and the European Rugby Champions Cup. His primary playing position is lock, but can also play in the back-row. Club career Leinster Beirne graduated through the Leinster academy and made his senior debut from the bench against the Cardiff Blues on 12 September 2015. Beirne made a further three appearances for Leinster, playing twice against Dragons and once against Scarlets, a team he would later go on to play for. All of these appearances came off the bench. Tom Daly (rugby Union)
Tom Daly (born 31 July 1993) is an Irish rugby union player for Connacht. At 6'4" and 106-kg (16 stone), he plays the centre position. He formerly played for Lansdowne in the All Ireland League. Club career Daly featured for Leinster at both u-18 and u-19 youth levels, and entered the Leinster academy in 2013. After three years in the academy, he was awarded his first fully professional contract ahead of the 2016–17 season. He debuted in a November 2016 away win against Zebre, and made nine appearances in the 2016–17 season, mostly as a substitute. In an August 2017 pre-season Leinster match, Daly suffered damage to the ACL in his knee, forcing him to miss almost the entire 2017–18 season. Peter Dooley (born 4 August 1994) is an Irish rugby union player for Connacht. His preferred position is loosehead prop. Tom Farrell (born 1 October 1993) is a rugby union player from Ireland. He primarily plays as a centre. Farrell currently plays for Irish provincial side Connacht in the Pro14. Matthew Healy (born 14 March 1989) is an Irish former professional rugby union player. His primary position was on the wing and he was also used as injury cover at fullback, while earlier in his career he played at scrum-half. Healy played his entire career for Irish provincial team Connacht Rugby in the Pro14 and represented Ireland at test level once. He is Connacht's all-time leading try scorer.
