Laniisoma Buckleyi
The Andean laniisoma (''Laniisoma buckleyi''), also known as the Andean mourner, is a species of passerine bird in the family Tityridae. It occurs in humid Andean forests in Venezuela, Colombia, Ecuador, Peru and Bolivia. The species was formerly considered conspecific with the Brazilian laniisoma (''Laniisoma elegans''). Philip Lutley Sclater (4 November 1829 – 27 June 1913) was an England, English lawyer and zoologist. In zoology, he was an expert ornithologist, and identified the main zoogeographic regions of the world. He was Secretary of the Zoological Society of London for 42 years, from 1860–1902. Early life Sclater was born at Tangier Park, in Wootton St Lawrence, Hampshire, where his father William Lutley Sclater had a country house. George Sclater-Booth, 1st Baron Basing was Philip's elder brother. Philip grew up at Hoddington House where he took an early interest in birds. Osbert Salvin FRS (25 February 1835 – 1 June 1898) was an English naturalist, ornithologist, and herpetologist best known for co-authoring ''Biologia Centrali-Americana'' (1879–1915) with Frederick DuCane Godman. This was a 52 volume encyclopedia on the natural history of Central America. Biography Osbert Salvin was born in Finchley, north London, the second son of the architect Anthony Salvin, of Hawksfold, Sussex. He was educated at Westminster and Trinity Hall, Cambridge, taking his degree in 1857. Tityridae is family of suboscine passerine birds found in forest and woodland in the Neotropics. The Brazilian laniisoma (''Laniisoma elegans''), also known as the shrike-like laniisoma, the shrike-like cotinga or the elegant mourner, is a species of bird in the family Tityridae.
