Language (XXX Album)
''Language'' is the debut studio album by South Korean hip hop duo XXX. It was released on November 28, 2018, by Beasts And Natives Alike. Backgroud XXX began to gain popularity through EP Kyomi in 2016 after their formation. The album's artwork represents the removal of lipstick and letters from their previous ep ''Kyomi''. The group interviewed that ''18G 1517 (18거 1517)'' was a track that penetrated the theme of the album, and they described that it was a track that represented the mindset that they had from the beginning of the group and the current mindset. Critical reception Kim Doheon of IZM reviewed "Language grabs the hair and pours toxic questions in front of his face, asking him to confront the contradictory system and the collective consciousness of oblivion that condones it." Alternative Hip Hop
Alternative hip hop (also known as alternative rap) is a subgenre of hip hop music that encompasses a wide range of styles that are not typically identified as mainstream. AllMusic defines it as comprising " hip hop groups that refuse to conform to any of the traditional stereotypes of rap, such as gangsta, bass, hardcore, and party rap. Instead, they blur genres drawing equally from funk and pop/rock, as well as jazz, soul, reggae, and even folk." Alternative hip hop developed in the late 1980s and experienced a degree of mainstream recognition during the early-to-mid 1990s. While some groups such as Arrested Development and The Fugees managed to achieve commercial success before breaking up, many alternative rap acts tend to be embraced by alternative rock listeners other than hip-hop or pop audiences. The commercial and cultural momentum was impeded by the then  -also emerging, significantly harder-edged West Coast gangsta rap. A resurgence came about in the late 19 ...

Butler, M.J., ''Unlocking the Groove: Rhythm, Meter, and Musical Design in Electronic Dance Music'', Indiana University Press, 2006, (p. 80). It emerged from the culture and sound palette of electronic and rave music styles such as ambient techno, acid house, Detroit techno and breakbeat;''"The electronic listening music of the nineties is a prime example of an art form derived from and stimulated by countless influences. Partisan analyses of this music claim a baffling variety of prime sources (Detroit techno, New York electro + Chicago acid, Eno + Bowie, Cage + Reich, Gary Numan + Tange ...
