Gabriel Langfeldt
Gabriel Langfeldt (23 December 1895 – 28 October 1983) was a Norwegian psychiatrist. He was a professor at the University of Oslo from 1940 to 1965. His publications centered on schizophrenia and forensic medicine. He was involved as an expert during the trial against Hamsun, and wrote a book about Quisling. Career in psychiatry Born in Kristiansand to Carl Gerhard Magnus Langfeldt, a bank director, and his wife Gudrun Amalie Leversen, Langfeldt obtained examen artium at Kristiansand Cathedral School and became Candidate of Medicine at the University of Oslo in 1920. He earned his degree in medicine in 1926 with a thesis on the endocrine glands and autonomic nervous system in relation to schizophrenia. After working as a district physician and hospital physician, Langfeldt became assistant physician at Neevengården Hospital in Bergen in 1923, and worked there until 1929 when he became a psychiatrist with the police. Thore Langfeldt
Thore Langfeldt (born 30 September 1943) is a Norwegian psychologist and sexologist. He was born in Oslo, and is a trained psychologist at the University of Oslo from 1972. He is married and has three children, and is a specialist in clinical psychology and clinical sexology. He has been a practising a psychologist since 1983 and in 1989 he founded the Institute for Clinical Sexology and Therapy which he led until 2004. Together with Elsa Almås took Langfeldt in 1982 initiated the founding of the :no:Norsk forening for klinisk sexologi (NFKS), Norwegian Association for Clinical Sexology. He has also been a senior researcher at the Norwegian Centre for Violence and Traumatic Stress Studies. He is an internationally known psychologist, among other things, for his work with the child's sexual development, and teaches at several universities in Norway and abroad. Knut Langfeldt
Knut Peder Langfeldt (14 January 1925 – 24 October 2018) was a Norwegian organizational worker and political science writer. He lived at Slemdal at a young age. In May 1943, during the German occupation of Norway, he tried to flee the country by boat. However, he was discovered near Abelsnes. He was imprisoned in Flekkefjord, then three days at Arkivet in Kristiansand, before being moved to Møllergata 19. He remained here for a year, except for the time from August 1943 to March 1944 when he was at Ullevål Hospital. He was incarcerated at Grini concentration camp from 14 July 1944 to 4 May 1945. The German occupation ended on 8 May 1945, and the roles changed. From May to September 1945 he worked as a prison guard for the now-imprisoned Nazis and collaborators. He also joined the Young Communist League of Norway, and came in contact with Peder Furubotn.
