Langenes is a village in Kristiansand municipality in Agder county, Norway. The village is located along the Norwegian County Road 456, just east of the village of Åros. The village sits on the coastline in the southeastern part of the greater Søgne area. In 2020 it became part of the municipality of Kristiansand, prior to that time it was in Søgne municipality. The Langenes Church is located in the village. As a part of the greater Søgne urban area, separate population statistics are not tracked for Langenes. Southern Norway
Southern Norway ( no, Sørlandet; lit. "The Southland") is the geographical region (''landsdel'') along the Skagerrak coast of southern Norway. The region is an informal description since it does not have any governmental function. Agder
Agder is a county (''fylke'') and traditional region in the southern part of Norway. The county was established on 1 January 2020, when the old Vest-Agder and Aust-Agder counties were merged. Since the early 1900s, the term Sørlandet ("south country, south land, southland") has been commonly used for this region, sometimes with the inclusion of neighbouring Rogaland. Norwegian County Road 456 (Fv456) is a Norwegian county road in Vest-Agder, Norway. The road takes over for European route E39 in Hannevika, Kristiansand, in to the borough Vågsbygd. Therefore this part is called the Vågsbygdporten and goes through a tunnel under Slettheia. The road continues south through Vågsbygd and goes west when it comes to Voiebyen. It then goes past Bråvann and into Søgne municipality. In Søgne, the road goes through Langenes and is therefore called Langenesveien or Langenessletta. Åros, Søgne
Åros is a village in Kristiansand municipality in Agder county, Norway. The village is located along the river Søgneelva between the village of Høllen to the west and Langenes to the east. The west side of Åros reaches the Høllefjorden. Åros Feriesenter is a large recreational area along the fjord.
