Landskrona BoIS
Landskrona Boll och Idrottsällskap ( en, Landskrona Ball and Sports Society, locally referred to as BoIS) is a Swedish professional football club located in Landskrona, Scania, which currently plays in Superettan, the second league tier of football in Sweden. The club was formed on 7 February 1915 through the merger of two Landskrona clubs, ''IFK Landskrona'' and ''Landskrona BK'' (earlier known as Diana BK). Landskrona BoIS was one of the twelve teams participating in the inaugural Allsvenskan season in 1924–25. Since then, they have participated in 34 seasons in Allsvenskan and 54 seasons in the second highest division. Landskrona BoIS has won four medals in Allsvenskan, little silver in 1937–38 and bronze in 1938–39, 1975 and 1976, as well as one national cup title, in 1971–72. Scanian Dialect
Scanian ( sv, skånska , da, skånsk) is an East Scandinavian dialect spoken in the province of Scania in southern Sweden. Present-day speakers of "Scanian" speak the Scanian dialect of Swedish. Older Scanian formed part of the old Scandinavian dialect continuum and are by most historical linguists considered to be an East Danish dialect group, but due to the modern-era influence from Standard Swedish in the region and because traditional dialectology in the Scandinavian countries normally has not considered isoglosses that cut across state borders, the Scanian dialects have normally been treated as a South Swedish dialect group in Swedish dialect research. 1924 Summer Olympics
The 1924 Summer Olympics (french: Jeux olympiques d'été de 1924), officially the Games of the VIII Olympiad (french: Jeux de la VIIIe olympiade) and also known as Paris 1924, were an international multi-sport event held in Paris, France. The opening ceremony was held on 5 July, but some competitions had already started on 4 May. The Games were the second to be hosted by Paris (after 1900), making it the first city to host the Olympics twice. The selection process for the 1924 Summer Olympics consisted of six bids, and Paris was selected ahead of Amsterdam, Barcelona, Los Angeles, Prague, and Rome. The selection was made at the 20th IOC Session in Lausanne in 1921. The cost of these Games was estimated to be 10,000,000 F. With total receipts at 5,496,610F, the Olympics resulted in a hefty loss despite crowds that reached up to 60,000 in number daily. Harry Dahl
Harry Dahl (25 June 1902 – 2 December 1986), nicknamed Hacke, was a Swedish footballer who played as a forward. His older brother Albin Dahl was also a footballer. Career With 334 goals, he is Landskrona BoIS's top goal scorer of all time. Also like his brother, he began to play football in a Landsrona-based club called ''BK Argos''. When Landskrona BoIS was founded in 1915, Albin began to play for them, but Harry was too young. A few years later he was old enough to join his brother Albin in Landskrona BoIS. Helsingborgs IF
Helsingborgs IF (full name Helsingborgs Idrottsförening), commonly referred to as HIF (), is a Swedish professional football club located in Helsingborg. They play in the Swedish first tier, Allsvenskan, following promotion in the 2021 Superettan season via play-offs. Formed in 1907, the club has won five national championship titles and five national cup titles. Helsingborgs IF have also won Allsvenskan on two occasions when the title of Swedish champions was not decided by the outcome of that league. Helsingborg was a founder member of Allsvenskan, and between 1924 and 1968 they spent all but two seasons in the top division, and won the league five times. At the end of the 1968 season, HIF was relegated, and while most people initially expected a quick return, they went on to spend the next 24 seasons in the lower leagues before finally getting promoted back to the top flight in 1992. Albin Dahl
Carl Albin Dahl (2 January 1900 – 15 February 1980) was a Swedish association footballer who played as a striker. He competed in the 1920 and 1924 Summer Olympics and finished in fifth and third place, respectively. Together with his elder brother Harry he came from neighbouring town Landskrona to the larger Helsingborg, and represented Helsingborgs IF. The brother did though return to Landskrona BoIS after only one year. Albin continued his career in Helsingborg until the 1932–33 season. Banan (sports Ground)
Banan (English: "the track" or "the lane") was the informal name of the first sports ground in Landskrona, Scania, and the third ever constructed in Sweden. It was inaugurated in 1893, then as a very simple kind of a velodrome with a grass field in its middle. History It was built by the local cycling club, ''Landskrona Velocipedklubb'', and was most likely given the formal name "Velocipedbanan", but the local residents simply called it "Banan". In its first years was it mainly used for cycling races with totalizators. The use of totalizators became prohibited by Swedish law in 1896, coinciding with the first modern Olympics, which promoted amateurism in sports.
