Denmark National Football Team
The Denmark men's national football team ( da, Danmarks herre-fodboldlandshold or ''herrelandsholdet'') represents Denmark in men's international football competitions. It is controlled by the Danish Football Association (DBU), the governing body for the football clubs which are organised under DBU. Denmark's home stadium is Parken Stadium in the Østerbro district of Copenhagen; their head coach is Kasper Hjulmand. Denmark were the winners of the Football at the 1906 Intercalated Games and silver medalists at the 1908 and 1912 Olympics. "''The Danish Way to Rock''" is a Danish language 2010 FIFA World Cup theme song for Denmark and a hit single by Danish band Nephew featuring Landsholdet (meaning "the national team" in Danish). The song went straight into #1 in the Tracklisten, the Danish Singles Chart. "The Danish Way to Rock" was a song written in Danish (despite its English language title) by Nephew band member Simon Kvamm and music by the band Nephew and arranged and produced by Nephew and Carsten Heller. The song was released in cooperation with the Dansk Boldspil-Union (DBU), the Danish Football Association for the support of the 2010 Denmark national football team. "Re-Sepp-Ten" is a 1986 Danish language football song released on Replay Records that was battle song for the Denmark national football team for 1986 FIFA World Cup in Mexico. The song was credited to ''VM Holdet'' (World Cup Team) as the Danish national side is known as ''Landsholdet''. The song was recorded in the Werner studio by members of the Danish national football team with additional contributions by Dodo Gad, Jens Rud and Steen Christiansen, all from the Danish band Dodo and the Dodos, Poul Halberg and by Henrik Stanley Møller. Nik & Jay is a Danish hip-hop/pop duo made of Niclas Genckel Petersen (born 8 November 1980 in Herlev) and Jannik Brandt Thomsen (born 16 June 1981). Their #2 single ''Hot!'' won them Hit of the Year and Best New Artist at the Danish Music Awards in 2003. Other hits have included ''En Dag Tilbage'' (One Day Left), ''Lækker'' (Hot), ''Kan Du Høre Hende Synge?'' (Can you hear her sing?) and ''Boing!''. Nephew is a Danish rock band formed in 1996 in Aarhus, Denmark. The band consists of Simon Kvamm (lead vocals, keyboards, songwriting), Kristian Riis (guitar, backing vocals), Søren Arnholt (drums, backing vocals), Kasper Toustrup (bass guitar), René Munk Thalund (keyboards), and Marie Højlund (vocals, keyboards, guitar). Dodo and the Dodos is a Danish pop band that became a hit with Danish radio stations in the 1980s with its songs ''"Vågner i natten"'' ("awaking in the night"), ''"Sømand af verden"'' ("Sailor of the world"), ''"Vi gør det vi ka' li"'' ("We do what we like"), ''"Lev livet nu"'' ("Live life now"), and ''"Pigen med det røde hår"'' ("The girl with the red hair").
