Lando Conti
Lando Conti (1 November 1933 – 10 February 1986) was an Italian politician and past Mayor of Florence, Italy, who was assassinated by the terrorist group the Red Brigades. Biography Conti was the mayor of Florence from 26 March 1984 until 26 September 1985. He was a member of the Italian Republican Party. On 10 February 1986 he was shot dead by the Red Brigades. He was killed in the hills outside the city. The Red Brigades had not claimed responsibility for a political murder since 27 March 1985. Alessandro Bonsanti (November 25, 1904 in Florence – February 17, 1984 in Florence) was a writer and Italian politician. Biography Alessandro Bonsanti, writer, was born in Florence. Very young, after completing his studies, he moved to work in Milan, where he worked for three years as an employee at a local bank, collaborating in the magazine ''La Fiera Literaria'', where he published his first Brigants story in Maremma. Returning to Florence, he came into contact with the literary environment that animated '' Solaria'' (the European magazine, which existed from 1926 to 1936), who was a collaborator and director, publishing military narrative (1927) ''The loving servant'' (1929) and ''the whims of 'Adriana'' (1934), republished in distant Racconti 1962, texts of the past that have to do with a distant social history. Massimo Bogianckino
Massimo Bogianckino (10 November 1922 – 8 December 2009) was an Italian pianist, artistic director, and politician. Life Born in Rome of Romanian origin on his father's side, descendant on his mother's side from the family of Gabriele D'Annunzio, Bogianckino studied humanities and in the meantime studied the piano with Alfredo Casella and Alfred Cortot, graduating from the Conservatorio di Musica Santa Cecilia. He began his career as a concert performer and composer, but later preferred the path of teaching. He taught piano at the Carnegie Institute of Pittsburgh (now Carnegie Mellon University) in 1950 and 1951, then returned to Italy first at the conservatory of Pesaro and then in Rome where he conducted the Accademia Filarmonica Romana between 1960 and 1963. Red Brigades
The Red Brigades ( it, Brigate Rosse , often abbreviated BR) was a far-left Marxist–Leninist armed organization operating as a terrorist and guerrilla group based in Italy responsible for numerous violent incidents, including the abduction and murder of former Prime Minister Aldo Moro, during the Years of Lead. Formed in 1970, the Red Brigades sought to create a revolutionary state through armed struggle, and to remove Italy from the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO). The Cimitero di Trespiano ("Trespiano Cemetery") is a cemetery along the Via Bolognese near Florence, Italy, named after the hamlet of Trespiano in the hills north of Fiesole.
