VfL Oldenburg
VfL Oldenburg is a German sports club from the town of Oldenburg, Lower Saxony which is best known for its football team, which plays in the Niedersachsenliga, the fifth level of the German football league system. The club has over 2,000 members in nine different sports departments including handball, American football, badminton, athletics, gymnastics and volleyball. History VfL Oldenburg were relegated from the German fifth tier (Oberliga) in 2009–10. In 2013, they returned to the Oberliga Niedersachsen as Landesliga Weser-Ems champions. COVID-19 Pandemic In Germany
The COVID-19 pandemic in Germany has resulted in confirmed cases of COVID-19 and deaths. On 27 January 2020, the first case in Germany was confirmed near Munich, Bavaria. By mid February, the arising cluster of cases had been fully contained. On 25 and 26 February, multiple cases related to the Italian outbreak were detected in Baden-Württemberg. A carnival event on 15 February in Heinsberg, North Rhine-Westphalia, was attended by a man identified as positive on 25 February; in the outbreak which subsequently developed from infected participants, authorities were mostly no longer able to trace the likely chains of infections. SV Bevern is a German sports club from Bevern, mostly known for its football division. The club's colors are yellow and black. History SV Bevern was founded in 1975. In the 2000s, the club played on ''Kreis'' ( en, district) level in the district of Cloppenburg. In 2013, SV Bevern won the ''Kreispokal'' ( en, district cup) and finished first in the Kreisliga Cloppenburg, being promoted to the Bezirksliga Weser-Ems 4. After being the Bezirksliga champions in 2016, they were promoted to the Landesliga Weser-Ems. In 2019, SV Bevern became the champions of the Landesliga Weser-Ems. This usually would have meant a promotion to the Lower Saxon Oberliga, the fifth-highest league in Germany. However, SV Bevern declined the promotion for economical reasons. Atlas Delmenhorst is a German association football club from the city of Delmenhorst, Lower Saxony who play in the fourth-tier Regionalliga Nord. The club, originally formed in a merger in 1973, folded in 2002 after declaring insolvency but was reformed a decade later in 2012. BSV Kickers Emden is a Football in Germany, German association football club, located in Emden, Lower Saxony. History The club first began playing in 1928 as a section of the gymnastics club Emder Turnverein, which was founded in 1861. An independent football club was formed on 24 March 1946 out of the membership of this predecessor side and several other local associations which had been dissolved after World War II. In 1949, the club was promoted to the Amateuroberliga Niedersachsen-West, a second-division league at the time.
