Land of the Free is the latest studio album by a German reggae singer Martin Zobel and his band Soulrise. It was released on May 18, 2012 in Europe and ranked in #1 on German Amazon Reggae Charts. In the United States, "Land of the Free" was released on June 19, 2012 under VPAL/IRIE VIBRATION RECORDS. Fully Fullwood, a legendary Jamaican roots reggae bassist/musician and producer is associated in producing "Land of the Free". Martin Zobel (musician)
Martin Zobel (born 25 February 1957 in Tallinn) is an Estonian plant ecologist and professor at the University of Tartu. His name is particularly associated with the idea of an impact of regional species diversity on diversity at smaller spatial scales – known as the species pool effect. He has been professor since 1992. He has served as Editor-in-Chief of the scientific journal Ecography. Reggae () is a music genre that originated in Jamaica in the late 1960s. The term also denotes the modern popular music of Jamaica and its diaspora. Fully () is a municipality in the district of Martigny in the canton of Valais in Switzerland. History Fully is first mentioned in the 11th Century as ''Fuliacum''. Geography Fully has an area, , of . Of this area, 30.5% is used for agricultural purposes, while 27.7% is forested. Of the rest of the land, 5.7% is settled (buildings or roads) and 36.2% is unproductive land. It is on the right bank of the river Rhône and is well known for its wines. Soul Syndicate, originally called the Rhythm Raiders, were one of the top reggae session bands in Jamaica from the early 1970s to the mid-1980s. History In the first half of the 1970s the band from the Greenwich Farm area of Kingston recorded for producers such as Keith Hudson, Winston Holness (under the pseudonym The Observers),Thompson, p.194 Duke Reid and others on some of the most popular and influential recordings of the era.
