Daoud Abdel Sayed
Daoud Abdel Sayed ( ar, داود عبد السيد  ) is an Egyptian director and screenwriter. He was born in Cairo in 1946. He started as the assistant of Youssef Chahine in The Land. He made several critically acclaimed films, and won several international awards notably for ''The Land of Fear'' which was produced in 1999. Early life Born into a middle-class Coptic family in Cairo, Abd El-Sayed graduated in 1967 from the Higher Film Institute in Cairo as a film director. Daoud Abdel Sayed started his career working as an assistant director in important movies such as “ Al Ard” by Youssef Chahine, “Al Ragol Al Lazy Faqad Zaloh” by Kamal El Sheikh and “Awham El Hob”. Faten Ahmed Hamama ( ar, فاتن حمامه  ; 27 May 1931 – 17 January 2015) was an Egyptian film and television actress and film producer. She was the first wife of Ezz El-Dine Zulficar. She made her screen debut in 1939, when she was only seven years old. Her earliest roles were minor, but her activity and gradual success helped to establish her as a distinguished Egyptian actress. Later revered as an icon in Egyptian cinema. Yehia el-Fakharany ( ar, يحيى الفخراني); born April 7, 1945 in Mansoura, Dakahlia Governorate, Egypt is an Egyptian television and film actor. Early years El-Fakharany earned a bachelor's degree in medicine and surgery from Ain Shams University in Cairo in 1971. He was a prominent member of the university's theatre troupe, and he won the best actor award at the level of Egyptian universities. After his graduation, El-Fakharany practiced medicine for a short period as a GP in the Medical Services Fund within the Egyptian television, and he intended to specialize in psychiatric and neurological disorders, but his passion for acting pushed him to leave the medical profession and chose to fulfill his desire to be an actor. Hesham Selim
Hesham Selim ( ar, هشام سليم; 27 January 1958 – 22 September 2022) was an Egyptian film and television actor. He’s the son of Saleh Selim. He acted in many movies and television series since his childhood. Career Selim's first acting role was in ''Empire M'' (1972), in which he acted as the son of Faten Hamama. However, he took his schooling seriously and did not act again until he graduated, in which he studied Tourism in Helwan University. Beside his acting career, he hosted the TV show "Hiwar Al Qahira" on Sky News Arabia. Personal life Selim was married twice. Mervat El Nahas was his first wife who was the mother of his three children. He then married Nadia Al Ghaleb in 2004. This is a list of submissions to the 67th Academy Awards for Best Foreign Language Film. The Academy Award for Best Foreign Language Film was created in 1956 by the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences to honour non-English-speaking films produced outside the United States. The award is handed out annually, and is accepted by the winning film's director, although it is considered an award for the submitting country as a whole.
