Lance Andrew Parker (born August 19, 1985) is an American soccer player and model. As a model, Parker has appeared on several magazine covers, and in such magazines as '' Men's Health'', '' GQ'', and '' Vogue Hommes''. Early life Parker was born on August 19, 1985, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, to Susan and Dennis Parker. He attended Putnam City North High School in Oklahoma City, where he was an all-district performer in soccer during his sophomore season. As a junior, Parker achieved all-conference and all-district honors while helping his team to a conference championship and a state semifinals appearance. As a senior, he earned a spot on Oklahoma's All-State Boys' Soccer Team, and was a Gatorade All-America nominee. Parker graduated from Putnam City North with a 4.0 grade-point average. The National Society of Collegiate Scholars (NSCS) is a national non-profit academic honor society for college students in the United States. NSCS has active chapters at over 300 colleges and universities in the United States, including the District of Columbia and Puerto Rico. Overview As of Spring 2021, NSCS had over 300 registered and active on-campus chapters, including the national chapter and 1.4 million members, including 125,000 active members and 45,000 new members each year. 2012 North American Soccer League Season
The 2012 North American Soccer League season was the 45th season of Division II soccer in the United States and the second season of the revived North American Soccer League. It was contested by eight teams including one from Canada and one from Puerto Rico. The Montreal Impact were self-promoted to Major League Soccer as an expansion franchise and the expansion San Antonio Scorpions were added to the NASL. The NASL received full sanctioning from the United States Soccer Federation on March 3, 2012 at their annual meeting. North American Soccer League (2011–2017)
The North American Soccer League (NASL) was a professional men's soccer league based in the United States. The league was named for, but had no connection to, the original North American Soccer League. The later NASL was founded in 2009, and began play in 2011 with eight teams. From 2013 through 2017, the NASL used a split-season schedule running from April to early November, with a four-week break in July. The spring and fall champions, along with the two teams with best combined spring/fall records met in a four-team single-elimination tournament known as ''The Championship''.
