Lance Sterling Anoa'i (born February 15, 1992) is an American Professional wrestling, professional wrestler. He is signed to WWE, where he performs on the NXT (WWE brand), NXT WWE brand extension, brand. He previously wrestled in Major League Wrestling (MLW), where he is a former MLW World Tag Team Championship, MLW World Tag Team Champion, and in Pro Wrestling Noah. He is a member of the Anoaʻi family. Early life Lance Anoaʻi was born in Allentown, Pennsylvania. His father Samu (wrestler), Samula worked in the World Wrestling Federation under the ring name Samu as a member of The Wild Samoans and The Headshrinkers. The event aired as a special episode of MLW's television program, '' Fusion'', on July 27 on beIN Sports. It was the first event under the Battle Riot chronology. Battle Riot is an annual professional wrestling event produced by Major League Wrestling (MLW). The inaugural event took place on July 19, 2018. The event is named after the Battle Riot match, a multi-competitor match type in which wrestlers are eliminated until one is left and declared winner. The match begins with two participants in the ring. Another fighter then enters every minute until 40 wrestlers have joined the match. Competitors are eliminated by either pin, submission, or going over the top rope and having both feet touch the venue floor. The Super 8 Tournament is an annual professional wrestling tournament held by the East Coast Wrestling Association. The tournament is contested by eight wrestlers in a one-night single-elimination format. History The ECWA Super 8 Tournament was first held in 1997 and was won by Ace Darling. East Coast Wrestling Association (ECWA) is an American professional wrestling promotion, founded in 1967 by promoter Jim Kettner. It is home to the annual Super 8 Tournament, one of the longest-running independent wrestling tournaments in the country, as well as the annual ECWA Women's Super 8 Tournament. In 2010, Kettner announced his retirement and turned the promotion over to Mike Tartaglia and Joe Zanolle. Mike Tartaglia officially put the company on hiatus on June 5, 2019.
