Lameck Aguta
Lameck Aguta Orero (born October 10, 1971) is a former Kenyan marathon runner. He was the winner of the 101st Boston Marathon in 1997 with a time of 2:10:34 hours. He also competed in the men's marathon at the 1996 Summer Olympics. Biography Aguta's personal best time in any marathon is 2:10:03 hours, achieved at the 1996 Boston Marathon. He finished fourth in that race, which was the 100th running of the Boston Marathon. His best time in the half marathon is 1:00:55 hours at the 1992 IAAF World Half Marathon Championships in South Shields, England. Three months after winning the 1997 Boston Marathon, Aguta was the victim of a vicious robbery in his home country of Kenya during which he was clubbed in the back of the head after emerging from an auto accident. Lameck Bonjisi (1973 – 8 November 2004) was a Zimbabwean sculptor. The brother of Witness and Tafunga Bonjisi, both of whom he mentored, Bonjisi began sculpting full-time at 17. He worked for a time as an assistant to Nicholas Mukomberanwa Nicholas Mukomberanwa (1940 - 12 November 2002) was a Zimbabwean sculpture, sculptor and art teacher. Lameck Kauzi Chibombamilimo (25 May 1961 – 9 August 2010) was a Zambian politician. Biography Chibombamilimo worked as a teacher before entering politics. In the 2006 general elections he ran as the Movement for Multi-Party Democracy candidate in Mpulungu and was elected to the National Assembly with 85% of the vote. Later in the year he was appointed Minister for Northern Province. In November 2008 he became Deputy Minister of Energy and Water Development. However, in February 2009 Chibombamilimo was sacked by President Rupiah Banda after being accused of disloyalty. In 2010 he became critically ill with kidney problems and was flown to New Delhi New Delhi (, , ''Naī Dillī'') is the capital of India and a part of the National Capital Territory of Delhi (NCT). Lameck Onyango Ngoche (born 22 September 1973) is a former Kenyan cricketer. He is a right-handed batsman and a right-arm medium-pace bowler. Though initially not one of cricket's more successful figures, his career began a turnaround during his second year, 1997, in which he switched roles from bowler to a specialist tail-ender for the ICC Trophy. Career Since 2004 Onyango has developed into an effective bowling all-rounder and followed up his maiden first-class half century with match winning figures of 6–21 in Kenya's 2005 Intercontinental Trophy victory over Uganada. Lately he has been working on his batting and has made some handy contributions to the Kenyan batting line up. Lucy Lameck (1934–21 March 1993) was a Tanzanian politician, who was the first woman to hold a Ministerial post in the government. Born to a farming family, she trained as a nurse before becoming involved in politics and attending Ruskin College, Oxford, through a scholarship. She first entered the Tanganyika National Assembly in 1960, before being elected to the Tanzania National Assembly in 1965. With the exception of 1975 to 1980, she continued to hold a seat there until her death in 1993.
