Lambs Head, also known as Kahlpahlim Rock, is a mountain near Mareeba in the Dinden National Park, Far North Queensland Far North Queensland (FNQ) is the northernmost part of the Australian state of Queensland. Its largest city is Cairns and it is dominated geographically by Cape York Peninsula, which stretches north to the Torres Strait, and west to the Gulf C ..., Australia. Lambs Head rises and is the highest point on the Lamb Range. There are two trails that when combined, create a difficult 12.3 km circuit that takes hikers to the summit and back. Mareeba
Mareeba is a rural town and locality in the Shire of Mareeba in Far North Queensland, Australia. Between 2008 and 2013, it was within the Tablelands Region. The town's name is derived from an Aboriginal word meaning ''meeting of the waters''. Geography The town is above sea level on the confluence of the Barron River, Granite Creek and Emerald Creek. The town's main street is the Mulligan Highway which branches off from the Kennedy Highway when coming in from Cairns (63.3 km; 40 miles) away passing localities such as Speewah, Kuranda and Barron Gorge. The Tablelands railway line enters the locality from the north ( Biboohra), passes through the town, and exits to the west ( Chewko). Lamb Range is a locality in the Cairns Region, Queensland, Australia. In the , Lamb Range had a population of 0. Geography The locality takes its name from the mountain range Lamb Range. The locality that lies to the west of most of the southern suburbs of Cairns. It is undeveloped mountainous land rising from the coastal plains (elevation of less than 50 metres above sea level) up through the Great Dividing Range (with elevations up to 1200 metres) towards the Atherton Tableland. The land use is entirely committed to national parks and reserves. Dinden National Park and Lake Morris Reserve are in the north of the locality with Little Mulgrave National Park in the south. A small area in the west is in the Danbulla National Park. There is only one road through the locality.
