Charles Joseph Mathieu Lambrechts
Charles Joseph Mathieu Lambrechts (20 November 1753 – 4 August 1825) was a Belgian-born lawyer, rector magnificus of the Old University of Leuven, University of Louvain, who became Minister of Justice of the French Republic, during the Directoire. Later he was a deputy from 1819 to 1824. Early years Charles Joseph Mathieu Lambrechts was born in Sint-Truiden, Belgium, on 20 November 1753. His father was Gilles de Lambrechts, a colonel in the army of the States General of the Netherlands. He studied civil and canon law at Leuven. He graduated in 1774, became a professor in 1777 and a doctor in 1782. He was elected rector of the university in 1786. Burger Lambrechts (born 3 April 1973) is a South African shot putter. He attended Laerskool Nelspruit, where he was head-boy in 1986 and Hoërskool Waterkloof, where he was vice head-boy in 1991. As far as tertiary education is concerned, Lambrechts attained a BSC (Genetics) from the University of Pretoria in 1995 and a BA ("Biology") from Western Michigan University in 1996. His international career started with a fifteenth place at the 1992 World Junior Championships. The following year he took his first national shot put title. In 1994 he threw past the 19-metre mark for the first time, with 19.06 metres achieved in April in his birth city. At his first World Championships, in 1997, he reached the final and placed tenth. He only managed one valid throw. In 1998 he won the gold medal at the African Championships with a throw of 19.78 metres. Finn Lambrechts DFC (16 June 1900 – 8 December 1956) was a Norwegian military officer, a lieutenant general of the Royal Norwegian Air Force. He served as Chief of Defence of Norway ( no, sjef for Forsvarsstaben) from 1955 to 1956. Personal life Lambrechts was born in Kristiania, the son of county manager Sigurd Lambrechts and Augusta Mowinckel. On 24 June 1929, he married Cuba-born Anita Brøgger. Career Early career Lambrechts graduated as naval officer in 1921, and from the navy's pilot school in 1924. Fredericus Amos (Frits) Lambrechts (born 24 March 1937) is a Dutch actor, musician and cabaret artist. Career He started with cabaret. He was discovered in 1964 by writer and comedian Jaap Van de Merwe. After seeing him perform in Amsterdam, Van der Merwe hired him and made him participate as pianist to his performances. After his collaboration with Van de Merwe, he worked with Wim Kan and Henk Elsink, among others. Thereafter he was active in music, singing and acting. In 1971 he was awarded a Zilveren Harp for his contribution to the Dutch song. Lambrechts was a contributor to the satirical radio program ''Cursief'' in the early 1970s. Florent "Flor" Jan Maria Lambrechts (25 March 1910 – 14 April 1990) was a Belgian footballer who played as a forward and midfielder. He played in the First Division for several seasons with Antwerp FC and RCS La Forestoise. With Antwerp, Lambrechts won the 1929 and 1931 Belgian First Divisions. He also achieved second place with the team in the 1929–30, 1931–32 and 1932–33 seasons. He was the Belgian top scorer of the 1935–36 season, in which he also achieved the record of scoring 7 goals in a single First Division game. After troubles inside the club, he had to move out of Antwerp to RCS La Forestoise in 1937. Gerrit Lambrechts (c. 1666 – September 1705 (buried on 20 September 1705)) was a Flemish-born Dutch engraver and draftsman. He was born in Antwerp but moved to Amsterdam in the 1680s.
