History The Lambeth Lancers were founded in 1987 as members of the Western Ontario Junior D Hockey League. The Lancers were created in the tradition of the Lambeth Flyers who were members of the same league from 1968 until 1975. In the 1988 playoffs, the Lancers won the Western league title in their first season. They challenged the Exeter Hawks of the Southern Counties Junior D Hockey League in the final and defeated them 4-games-to-2 to win their first ever OHA Cup. Provincial Junior Hockey League
The Provincial Junior Hockey League (PJHL) is a Canadian junior ice hockey league spanning parts of Southern Ontario. The PJHL is the third tier of the Ontario Hockey Association and is sanctioned by the Ontario Hockey Federation and Hockey Canada. The league was formed in 2016 with the merging of eight Junior C leagues. PJHL teams compete for the Clarence Schmalz Cup. History In the works since 2014, it was announced in the spring of 2016 that the eight Junior C leagues of the Ontario Hockey Association would merge for the 2016-17 season to create the Provincial Junior Hockey League. The union was in an effort to streamline rules across the classification and to promote growth and development. The Plattsville Lakers are a Semi-Pro ice hockey team based in the township of Blandford-Blenheim in Plattsville, Ontario, Canada. The Lakers joined the Western Ontario Super Hockey League in 2022, after being a part of the Greater Metro Junior A Hockey League from 2015-2022. They were originally located in Port Stanley, Ontario, and then in West Lorne, Ontario, and London, Ontario. They also formerly played in the Southern Ontario Junior Hockey League of the Ontario Hockey Association (OHA). The Lakers left the OHA in 2008 and played as an independent team. History The Port Stanley Lakers were founded in 1989 as members of the Western Ontario Junior D Hockey League. Lakeshore Canadiens
The Lakeshore Canadiens are a Canadian junior ice hockey team based in Belle River, Ontario. They play in the Provincial Junior Hockey League of the Ontario Hockey Association and Hockey Canada. The Canadiens are 5 time Clarence Schmalz Cup Winners as Provincial Junior C Champions and the defending champions. The team was known as the Belle River Canadiens from 1978 until 2014. History From 1985 until 2001, the Canadiens were one of the most feared teams in all of Ontario Junior "C" hockey. Aylmer Spitfires
The Aylmer Spitfires are a Canadian junior hockey team based in Aylmer, Ontario, Canada. They play in the Provincial Junior Hockey League. History The franchise began in Tillsonburg as a Junior B team in 1974, first known as the Mavericks, then as the Titans from 1985 to 1991. In 1991, the franchise was moved to Aylmer and was named the Aylmer Aces. In 2003, the team dropped to Junior C as the Aylmer Spitfires. In 2013, the Niagara & District Junior C Hockey League and the Southern Ontario Junior Hockey League realigned, sending the Spitfires into the SOJHL. Ayr Centennials
The Ayr Centennials are a Canadian Junior ice hockey team based in Ayr, Ontario. They play in the Greater Ontario Junior Hockey League of the Ontario Hockey Association. History The Ayr Centennials were founded in 1982 as members of the Southern Junior D Hockey League. Clarence Eby, whose son and grandson would become heavily involved with the team, was a founding member of the club in 1982. In 1985, Eby's son Don started volunteering with the club. Don's legacy with the team began when son Scott started playing for the team at the age of 15, but Don's wife Julie waited a few years before joining her husband, taking over for her father-in-law Clarence as treasurer. Working in many capacities with the team, the pair ran the Cens' operations through most of the 1990s, which included paying the team's bills. Dorchester Dolphins
The Dorchester Dolphins are a Canadian junior ice hockey team based in Dorchester, Ontario, Canada. They play in the Provincial Junior Hockey League. History The Dolphins are the namesake of the town's long running tradition in intermediate and senior hockey. The Dolphins played their first ever hockey game on September 14, 2012, at home against the Lucan Irish. The Dolphins were victorious, 6–5. The Port Stanley Sailors are a Canadian Junior ice hockey team based in Port Stanley, Ontario. They play in the Provincial Junior Hockey League. History The Sailors were formerly known as the Belmont Bombers, playing their last season as the Bombers in 05-06. Prior to the 06-07 season, they changed their name to the Central Elgin Express. This was done as the team was going to be splitting their home games between Belmont and Port Stanley. The North Middlesex Stars are a Junior ice hockey team based in Parkhill, Ontario, Canada. They play in the Provincial Junior Hockey League of the Ontario Hockey Association. Mount Brydges Bulldogs
The Mount Brydges Bulldogs are a Junior ice hockey team based in Mount Brydges, Ontario, Canada. They play in the Provincial Junior Hockey League and are three-time provincial champions. History The Mount Brydges Bulldogs were founded in 1975 as members of the Western Junior D Hockey League. The 1983–84 season saw the Bulldogs pull off a 22–7–5 record, which led them on to win their first Western league championship, despite competition from the Exeter Hawks who only suffered a total of two losses during the regular season. Thamesford Trojans
The Thamesford Trojans are a Junior ice hockey team based in Thamesford, Ontario, Canada. They play in the Provincial Junior Hockey League of the Ontario Hockey Association. They currently own the Exeter Hawks. History The Thamesford Trojans were founded in 1976 as members of the Western Ontario Junior D Hockey League.
