Jeff Lamberti
Jeffrey M. Lamberti (born October 21, 1962, in Ankeny, Iowa) is a former Republican Senate leader and two term state senator representing the 35th District of the Iowa Senate, and served two terms as State Representative. In the 2006 mid-term election, Lamberti was the Republican nominee for U.S. Congress in Iowa's 3rd congressional district, losing to incumbent Democrat Leonard Boswell in a hotly contested race. Lamberti received 46% of the vote to Boswell's 52%. He was succeeded in the Iowa Senate by Republican Larry Noble. Lamberti was nominated to the Iowa Racing and Gaming Commission by Gov. Terry Branstad. He was elected as its chairman on June 7, 2012, and his term expired on April 30, 2014. Lamberti is an attorney and is president of Lamberti, Gocke, & Leutje Law Offices. Giorgio Lamberti (born 28 January 1969) is an Italian former swimmer. In 1991 he became the first swimmer of Italy to win a world title, and gold medal, at a FINA World Aquatics Championships. He formerly held world records in the short course and long course 200 metre freestyle as well as in the short course 400 metre freestyle. Biography Lamberti was born in Brescia, Lombardy. At six, he was advised to begin swimming to improve his light physique. At 17, in 1986, he won the first of his six Italian championships. He took part in the following 1986 World Aquatics Championships, where he reached the B final in the 200 freestyle, and took part in the Italian 4x200 freestyle relay. The following year, now coached by Alberto Castagnetti, he established the new short course record at Bonn in the 200 and 400 m freestyle. Hernán Agustín Lamberti (born 3 May 1984) is an Argentine professional footballer who plays as a midfielder for Quilmes. Career Lamberti's senior career got underway in 2003 with Almagro in Primera B Nacional, with the midfielder featuring twenty-five times throughout the 2003–04 campaign which Almagro ended with promotion to the Primera División. Al Lamberti (born April 14, 1954) is a former sheriff of Broward County, which encompasses Fort Lauderdale in southeastern Florida. Education Lamberti received a B.A. in criminal justice from Florida Atlantic University in 1981. Career Coast Guard Lamberti served in the U.S. Coast Guard at various duty stations, primarily in Miami, Florida. He was also assigned as a special agent in the Office of Intelligence and Law Enforcement, U.S. Coast Guard Reserve. Law enforcement Lamberti joined the Broward County Sheriff's Office as a detention deputy in 1977. He worked his way up the ranks, becoming a road patrol deputy, then a road patrol sergeant in the North Broward and Lauderdale Lakes districts. Professor Lamberti (born Basil Garwood Lambert, January 9, 1892 – March 13, 1950) was an American vaudeville and burlesque performer active during the early part of the 20th century. He was billed as "the world's daffiest xylophonist". He was born in Valparaiso, Indiana. At age seven he appeared in minstrel shows, at nine he was a boy juggler. By his teens he was appearing with the Henderson Stock Company and at 17 he joined the Adam Forepaugh circus as a wire artist and juggler. He later became a theatre musician playing drums and xylophone. Lamberti's musical skills were good enough to get him work with the Cleveland Symphony Orchestra. But as he once said "You can't make a living out of the xylophone if you play it right." Niccolò di Piero Lamberti (ca. 1370 – 1451), also known as Niccolò di Pietro Lamberti, Niccolo Aretino, Niccolò d'Arezzo and as il Pela, was an Italian Renaissance sculptor and architect. Little is known about his life other than that he was married in Florence in 1392. His son, Piero di Niccolò Lamberti (1393–1435), was also a sculptor, and the two are notable for exporting the Tuscan style of sculpture to Venice, where they were active in the late 1410s and 1420s. By 1391 he was working on the Porta della Mandorla of the Florence Cathedral. In 1401 he was one of the artists who participated in the contest that was held to design the North doors of the Florence Baptistery, won by Lorenzo Ghiberti.
