''Lali'' is the fifth studio album by Argentine singer Lali. It was released on 13 April 2023 by Sony Music Argentina. The album was mostly written by Lali, Galán and Mauro De Tommaso, who also produced it. An extended edition of the album including two new tracks was released on 12 December 2023. The album marks Lali's comeback to her pop music origins after exploring Latin sounds like reggaeton and trap in her previous records '' Brava'' (2018) and ''Libra'' (2020). It stood out for revisiting multiple sounds and elements of the pop music from the late nineties and early two-thousands and for making numerous references to pop culture. It was defined by Lali as her "most personal and sincere album to date". For the 26th Annual Premios Gardel, the album gained nominations for Album of the Year and Best Pop Album. Lali Espósito
Mariana Espósito (born 10 October 1991), known professionally as Lali Espósito (or simply Lali), is an Argentine singer, actress, dancer and model. Espósito began her career as an actress and singer in 2003 when she joined the cast of the children's telenovela ''Rincón de Luz'', created by producer Cris Morena. She had other subsequent supporting roles in telenovelas ''Floricienta'' (2004–2005) and '' Chiquititas'' (2006), and a main role in ''Casi Ángeles'' (2007–2010), the latter of which increased her fame in Latin America, the Middle East, and Europe. From 2007 to 2012, Espósito, along with four other cast members from ''Casi Ángeles'', was part of the teen pop band Teen Angels, which originated from the series. The song was written by Lali, Martín D'Agosto and its producer Mauro De Tommaso. In the song, Lali expresses her preference of threesomes over monogamous sexual relationships. The 26th Annual Premios Gardel honored the best recordings, compositions, and artists from 1 January to 31 December 2023, as chosen by the members of Argentine Chamber of Phonograms and Videograms Producers, on 28 May 2024. Latin trap is a subgenre of Trap music, trap music that originated in Puerto Rico. A direct descendant of southern hip hop, and influenced by reggaeton, it gained popularity after 2007, and has since spread throughout Latin America.
