Lala Meredith-Vula (born 1966) is an English and Albanian Kosovian artist and photographer. In 1988 she was included in the Damien Hirst-led Freeze exhibition. Lala is a professor at De Montfort University, Leicester. Life and work Lala Meredith-Vula was born in Sarajevo and moved to England in 1970. She attended Trent University, Nottingham (1984–85) and Goldsmiths College (1985–88), then the University of Priština, Kosovo, for postgraduate studies. In 1988, she was one of the exhibitors in the exhibition '' Freeze'', organised by Damien Hirst which showcased the work of many of the artists who were later to become known as the Young British Artists. Lala Yusifova ( az, Lalə Yusifova, born 16 October 1996) is a retired Azerbaijani rhythmic gymnast. Career Yusifova began competing in junior internationals in 2009. She won the silver medal in ball at the 2010 European Junior Championships and briefly competed as a member of the Azerbaijani Group gymnasts who won the bronze medal 2011 European Junior Championships in Minsk. Yusifova debuted as a full senior in 2012. Lala Achint Ram (19 August 1898 – 1961) was an Indian freedom fighter, Gandhian and a member of the Indian National Congress party. He was one of the first three members of Servants of the People Society, established by Lala Lajpat Rai in Lahore in 1921. During the Indian independence movement, he was imprisoned for extended periods, including 1930–32, 1939, 1940 and 1942–45 for his participation in the Quit India Movement. Lala Lajpat Rai (28 January 1865 - 17 November 1928) was an Indian author, freedom fighter, and politician. He played a vital role in the Indian Independence movement.
