Lakshmi Vandhachu
''Lakshmi Vandhachu'' () is a 1986 Indian Tamil-language film directed by Rajasekhar. The film stars Revathi in the title role along with Sivaji Ganesan and Padmini. It is a remake of the 1980 Hindi film ''Khubsoorat''. The film was released on 1 November 1986. Plot Rajeshwari is the strict disciplinarian of the family that keeps everyone under her control – particularly her husband Rajasekhar. Her four sons live by her rules without question. When her second son marries, his new wife's younger sister Lakshmi comes to stay with the family. Lakshmi's carefree and easy going attitude endears her to family but puts her at odds with Rajeshwari. Raja, the family's third son and Lakshmi also fall in love. One of Lakshmi's pranks pushes Rajeshwari to her limit and creates fissures in the family. A crisis eventually sets things in motion to solve all the problems. Rajasekhar (died 1991), often credited as Rajasekhar Bachelor of Science, B.Sc., was an Indian film director and producer of Tamil cinema, Kollywood during the 1980s. He also directed films in Telugu language, Telugu, Kannada and Hindi. Career Rajasekhar was born in Nattarasankottai in then Ramanathapuram district and was a Bachelor of Science graduate. Jayachitra is an Indian actress films who works mostly in Tamil, Telugu and Kannada films. Early life Jayachitra was born in 1957. Her father Mahendra was a veterinary doctor, who had earlier worked as a lawyer. Her mother Ammaji (a.k.a. Vasudevan (15 June 1944 – 20 February 2011), known as Malaysia Vasudevan, was a Malaysian-Indian playback singer and actor in Tamil cinema. Early life Malaysia Vasudevan's parents were from Palakkad. Chattu Nair of Ottappalam and Ammalu of Polpulli, along with their families migrated to British Malaya in search of a livelihood.
