Lake Shore High School
Lake Shore High School is a high school located in the lakefront community of St. Clair Shores, Michigan. The school, a part of Lake Shore Public Schools, serves grades 9–12. The mascot for Lake Shore are the Shorians. Lake Shore High School offers training in CAD, dental careers, web design and video production along with college advance placement classes and dual enrollment. Lake Shore High School, along with all of the other district schools have been remodeled and equipped with technologically to serve students. Janelle Bross is the current principal with John Hartley and Todd Stevens as the current assistant principals. Extracurriculars Sports Sports were active for the boys when the main school building opened in the mid-1920s. Girls' sports came to light in the early 1970s. Donald Patrick Harvey
Donald Patrick Harvey II (born May 31, 1960) is an American actor. Early life Harvey was born and raised in St. Clair Shores, Michigan, the sixth of eight children. He started acting while attending Lake Shore High School, having performed in several shows before graduating in 1978. He then moved on to the University of Michigan, where he studied English and economics along with two years of classical ballet. Upon his 1982 graduation from the University of Michigan with a Bachelor of Arts degree, he attended the Yale School of Drama and received a Master of Fine Arts degree in acting in 1985. The "Miracle on Ice" was an ice hockey game during the 1980 Winter Olympics in Lake Placid, New York. It was played between the hosting United States and the Soviet Union on February 22, 1980, during the medal round of the men's hockey tournament. Though the Soviet Union was a four-time defending gold medalist and heavily favored, the United States upset them and won 4–3. The Soviet Union had won the gold medal in five of the six previous Winter Olympic Games, and they were the favorites to win once more in Lake Placid. Mark Wells
Mark Ronald Wells (born September 18, 1957) is an American former professional ice hockey forward who is best known for being a member of the 1980 U.S. Olympic hockey team. Amateur career Mark Wells graduated from Lake Shore High School in St. Clair Shores, Michigan in 1975. Wells then attended Bowling Green State University from 1975 to 1979 where he was a star forward with the Falcons in the Central Collegiate Hockey Association. Despite his abilities as a player, Wells did not receive a scholarship offer to play hockey until after his first season with the team. Following the completion of his college career, Wells, along with Falcons teammate Ken Morrow, was selected to play on the 1980 U.S. Olympic Men's Ice Hockey team that went on to win the gold medal at Lake Placid.
