Miedwie (, ) is a lake in the Pomeranian Lakeland region of West Pomeranian Voivodship, in northwestern Poland. Geography The lake is in surface area. It is 16.2 km long and 3.2 km wide. Its maximum depth is 43.8 m. The lake has a 150m long pier. Miedwie lake and its surrounding area is a Natura 2000 EU Special Protection Area. Pomeranian Lakeland
The Pomeranian Lakeland or Pomeranian Lake District ( pl, Pojezierze Pomorskie) is a lakeland in Farther Pomerania. It lies today in the east of the Polish Voivodeship of West Pomerania in northwest Poland. The lakeland is located in the extreme foothills of the Baltic Uplands and consists of a multitude of lakes. It is of ice age origin and lies embedded between low morainic hills. The lake plateau is very similar to the regions of the Masurian and Mecklenburg lake districts and Holstein Switzerland. The Płonia () is a river in West Pomeranian Voivodeship, Poland, a right tributary of the Oder river, with a length of 74.3 km and a basin area of 1101 km2. Its source is 1.5 south of Barlinek. Stargard

A Special Protection Area (SPA) is a designation under the European Union Directive on the Conservation of Wild Birds. Under the Directive, Member States of the European Union (EU) have a duty to safeguard the habitats of migratory birds and certain particularly threatened birds. Together with Special Areas of Conservation (SACs), the SPAs form a network of protected sites across the EU, called Natura 2000.
