Lake Frances (Glacier County, Montana)
Lake Frances is located in Glacier National Park, in the U. S. state of Montana. Runoff from the Dixon Glacier empties into the south side of the lake while runoff from Thunderbird Glacier flows into Thunderbird Creek and into the east shore of the lake. Lake Frances (Pondera County, Montana)
Lake Frances is a lake located southwest of Valier, Montana in Pondera County. Lake Frances is in size. The lake is a common destination for fisherman and water recreationists. The lake has Northern Pike, Walleye, and Perch as the major game fish. The lake has other fish as well. This lake previously required a warm water fish stamp to fish in Montana. Now Fish, Wildlife and Parks encourages donations to the warm water fish stamp funds, but does not require it. The lake is a hot spot for many ice fisherman. Valier is a small agriculture based town that is located right off the lake. There is a small island on the lake located on the north east side. Lake Frances (Wayne County, Michigan)
Palmer Park is a public park next to Detroit, Michigan's Palmer Park Apartment Building Historic District. It is named for U.S. Senator Thomas Witherell Palmer, who initially created the park when he donated for a city park in 1893 on the condition that the virgin forest be preserved. A 2014 review of Library of Congress records confirmed the existence of a long forgotten sketch for part of Palmer Park by famed landscape architect Frederick Law Olmsted Sr. The park includes a historic log cabin, a public disc golf course, tennis courts, hiking and biking trails and a large pond known as Lake Frances. History U.S. Senator Thomas Witherell Palmer donated for a city park in 1893, on the condition that the virgin forest be preserved. Frances Lake is a lake of Yukon, Canada. It is the largest lake in Southeast Yukon. Several rivers and creeks flow into Frances Lake, forming extensive deltas. The lake and surrounding area was featured in Anton Money's 1975 autobiographical book ''This Was the North'' and one of the creeks is named Money Creek after this early settler to the area.
