Lake Deaton
Lake Deaton is a lake in Wildwood, Florida, United States. Lake Deaton Park is located on its shore. In 2019 improved amenities and a pier were planned as part of an improvement project to accommodate dragon boat racers from The Villages community. The lake is on the north side of State Road 44. Lake Okahumpka is on the south side of the road. Wildwood is a city in Sumter County, Florida, United States. The population was 6,709 at the 2010 census. According to the U.S. Census Bureau's 2018 estimates, the city had a population of 7,024. Due to rapid growth the city had over 33,000 residents by October of 2022 with plans to swell to over 100,000 in the foreseeable future. Geography Wildwood is located at (28.858610, –82.038499). The Villages, Florida
The Villages is a census-designated place (CDP) in central Florida. It is in Sumter and Marion counties, Florida, United States. It shares its name with a broader master-planned age-restricted community that spreads into portions of Lake County. The overall development lies in central Florida, approximately south of Ocala and approximately northwest of Orlando. As of the 2020 census, the population of the CDP was 79,077. Lake Okahumpka is a freshwater lake in Wildwood, Florida, United States. Lake Okahumpka Park is along part of its shoreline. In 1980, the United States Geological Survey reported on the hydrology of Lake Okahumpka and Lake Deaton area. The lake is east of Wildwood on the south side of State Road 44.
