Lake County Library System
The Lake County Public Library System (LCLS) is a library system located in Lake County, Florida. The history of the Lake County Library System began in 1975 when the Lake County Library Planning Advisory Board was created to make a recommendation to the Board of County Commissioners for a county wide library system. Mr. Cecil Beach, consultant, was retained to perform a feasibility study and make recommendations based on information obtained. Beach advised the advisory board to adopt the Inter-local Agreement Format for the county's library organization. The advisory board concurred with his recommendation and reported that to the board of County Commissioners. On September 29, 1982, the Lake County Board of County Commissioners authorized the signature of the county ordinance that established the county-wide library system. Lake County is a county in the central portion of the U.S. state of Florida. As of the 2020 census, the population was 383,956. Its county seat is Tavares, and its largest city is Clermont. Lake County is included in the Orlando-Kissimmee- Sanford, FL Metropolitan Statistical Area. History Lake County was created in 1887 from portions of Sumter and Orange counties. It was named for the many lakes contained within its borders (250 named lakes and 1,735 other bodies of water). Howey-In-The-Hills is a town in Lake County, Florida, United States. The population was 1,098 at the 2010 census and an estimated 1,175 in 2018. It is part of the Orlando–Kissimmee–Sanford Metropolitan Statistical Area. History Howey-in-the-Hills was founded by William John Howey, a citrus grower and real-estate developer. Seminole County, Florida

Paisley is an unincorporated community and census-designated place (CDP) in Lake County, Florida, United States. The population was 818 at the 2010 census, up from 734 at the 2000 census. It is part of the Orlando–Kissimmee Metropolitan Statistical Area.
