Lake-To-Lakes Trail
The Lake-to-Lake Trail is an urban network of paved multi-use paths that runs between numerous lakes in Lakeland, Florida. The southern terminus of the trail can be accessed from the shores of Lake John. Lakeland is the most populous city in Polk County, Florida, part of the Tampa Bay Area, located along Interstate 4 east of Tampa. Lake Bonny, (sometimes spelled Lake Bonnie) is a lake in Polk County, Florida, in the United States. It has a surface area of , a mean depth of and a maximum depth of . The lake is a part of the Peace River - Saddle Creek Watershed. Some believe the Bonny Lake derives its name from the bony fish caught in the lake, while others say the lake's name honors a local pioneer with the name Boney. The lake borders the 113 acre Lake Bonny Park, Bonny Shores Mobile Home Park, Southeastern University and the Lake-to-Lake Trail. Lake Wire, an almost-round lake, has a surface area of . This lake is inside Lakeland, Florida, and the area surrounding it is completely urbanized. The lake was probably once oval shaped, but it appears it was partially filled on the southwest and northwest sides to allow parts of Lake Wire Drive to be built. It is almost completely surrounded by Lake Wire Drive, except for a distance of about on the northeast. The lake is completely surrounded by a public sidewalk. Lake Wire provides public access along its entire shore, via the sidewalk that surrounds it. The public is allowed to access the shore daily from dawn to dusk. Lake Hollingsworth is a lake located near the center of the City of Lakeland, Florida. Its area is . The lake is located just east of South Florida Avenue and west of Bartow Road. Lake Hollingsworth Drive and a path for biking and walking known as the Lake-to-Lake Trail are located along the entire circumference of the lake. It is bordered on the northeast by residences and the Lake Hunter Boat Ramp. On the lakes's north and west it is bordered by Sikes Boulevard and on the south and southeast by Lake Hunter Drive.
