Lai Yiu Cheung
Wayne Lai Yiu-cheung (; born 4 May 1964) is a Hong Kong actor. He became one of Hong Kong's most successful television actors after starring in TVB hit drama series '' Rosy Business''. Lai won three TVB Anniversary Awards for Best Actor, making him only one of three actors who have three wins in that category. After graduating from TVB artistes' training program, he made his acting debut in 1986, playing supporting roles. He first rose to popularity for his role as Zhu Bajie in the 1996 fantasy drama '' Journey to the West.'' In 2008, he won Best Supporting Actor at the TVB Anniversary Awards for his role in ''The Gentle Crackdown II.'' His performance as Chai Kau in the period drama '' Rosy Business'' received critical acclaim and earned him the TVB Anniversary Award for Best Actor. ''Rosy Business'' () is a 2009 Hong Kong period television drama produced by Lee Tim-sing and TVB. Comprising 25 episodes, it originally aired on the Jade network from 27 April to 29 May 2009. Set in Eastern China during the mid-19th century, ''Rosy Business'' follows the mercantile Chiang family, owners of Wuxi's largest rice business Hing Fung Nin. Li Lianying (; 12 November 1848 – 4 March 1911) was a Chinese imperial eunuch who lived in the late Qing dynasty. He was a eunuch during the regency of Empress Dowager Cixi, who was the ''de facto'' ruler of China from 1869 to 1908 throughout the reigns of the Tongzhi Emperor and Guangxu Emperor. Names Li's birth name was Li Yingtai (). He was renamed Li Jinxi () after entering the Forbidden City as a palace eunuch in 1856. The TVB Anniversary Award for Most Popular Male Character is one of the TVB Anniversary Awards presented annually by Television Broadcasts Limited (TVB) to recognize an actor who has delivered a popular performance in a Hong Kong television drama role throughout the designated year. The My Favourite Male Television Role (我最喜愛的電視男角色) was not introduced to the awards ceremony until 2006, nine years after its establishment. In 2013, the name was changed to Most Popular Male Television Role (最受歡迎電視男角色). The original equivalent of the award was called My Favourite Television Roles of the Year (本年度我最喜愛的電視角色), which was created in 2003. The award was given to 12 winners for both actors and actresses.
