''Lahori Gate'' ( ur, لاہوری گیٹ) was a 2007 Pakistani comedy drama serial, aired on PTV Home. The program's stars were Iftikhar Thakur, Sardar Kamal, Naseem Vicky, Abid Kashmiri, Waseem Abbas, Humaira Ali and Qavi Khan. The show was written by Waseem Abbas, who also acted in it. Sitcom
A sitcom, a portmanteau of situation comedy, or situational comedy, is a genre of comedy centered on a fixed set of characters who mostly carry over from episode to episode. Sitcoms can be contrasted with sketch comedy, where a troupe may use new characters in each sketch, and stand-up comedy, where a comedian tells jokes and stories to an audience. Sitcoms originated in radio, but today are found mostly on television as one of its dominant narrative forms. Iftikar Thakur (Urdu, pa, افتخار ٹھاکر), born Iftikhar Ahmed is a Pakistani actor and stand up comedian. He rose to fame for his roles in Punjabi drama. He has starred in numerous stage shows and telefilms in different languages mainly Punjabi also including Pothwari/Mirpuri and Urdu. Inayat Hussain Bhatti ( ur, ), (12 January 1928 – 31 May 1999) was a Pakistani film playback singer, film actor, producer, director, script writer, social worker, columnist, religious scholar and a promoter of the development of the Punjabi language and literature.
