Lahore Qalandars In 2019
The Lahore Qalandars cricket team is one of six teams that competed in the 2019 Pakistan Super League, representing Lahore. Originally the Qalandars were to be captained by Mohammad Hafeez, but due to an injury, he was unable to participate. AB De Villiers captained two matches while Fakhar Zaman led the side in six matches. They finished sixth in the season after winning three of their ten matches, and as a result, were eliminated in the group stage for the fourth consecutive year. Lahore Qalandars
Lahore Qalandars ( ur, ; pnb, لہور قلندرز; abbreviated as LQ) is a Pakistani professional cricket franchise which plays in the Pakistan Super League, representing the city of Lahore. The home ground of the team is Gaddafi Stadium. The team is owned by Rana Brothers. The team is currently captained by Shaheen Afridi and coached by Aaqib Javed, a former Pakistani cricketer. Lahore Qalandars is owned by Rana brothers. It was the second-most expensive franchise, and one of the few teams sold to an international company. The team finished at the bottom spot in the points table in each of the first four seasons of the PSL, before making its first appearance in the final in the 2020 edition. Sohail Akhtar (born 2 March 1986) is a Pakistani cricketer. He made his first-class cricket, first-class debut for Abbottabad cricket team, Abbottabad in the 2012–13 Quaid-e-Azam Trophy on 25 January 2013. He plays for Lahore Qalandars in the Pakistan Super League and was their captain until he was replaced by Shaheen Afridi for the 2022 Pakistan Super League, 2022 season. Mattheus Hendrik "Riki" Wessels (born 12 November 1985) is an Australian-English cricketer who most recently played for Worcestershire County Cricket Club. Umair Masood (born 7 December 1997) is a Pakistani cricketer. He made his List A debut on 14 January 2017 for Rawalpindi in the 2016–17 Regional One Day Cup. Brendan Ross Murray Taylor (born 6 February 1986) is a Zimbabwean former international cricketer and a former Zimbabwean captain, who played all formats of the game. Ryan Neil ten Doeschate (; born 30 June 1980) is a former Dutch–South African cricketer who played for the Netherlands national cricket team in One Day International (ODI) and Twenty20 International (T20I) cricket.
