The Lahore Qalandars (often abbreviated as LQ) is a franchise cricket team that represents Lahore, Punjab in the Pakistan Super League (PSL). 2022 Pakistan Super League
2022 Pakistan Super League (also known as PSL 7, or for sponsorship reasons HBL PSL 2022) was the seventh season of the Pakistan Super League, a franchise Twenty20 cricket league which was established by the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) in 2015. Played between six teams in a double round robin format with strict COVID-19 prtocols, the league began on 27 January 2022 with first phase in Karachi. The second phase including the playoffs took place in Lahore, with the Final played on 27 February where Lahore Qalandars beat Multan Sultans by 42 runs to win their maiden PSL title. HBL Pakistan retained the title sponsorship, and the broadcast partners are PTV Sports and A Sports, while Daraz is the livestreaming partner. Sohail Akhtar (born 2 March 1986) is a Pakistani cricketer. He made his first-class cricket, first-class debut for Abbottabad cricket team, Abbottabad in the 2012–13 Quaid-e-Azam Trophy on 25 January 2013. He plays for Lahore Qalandars in the Pakistan Super League and was their captain until he was replaced by Shaheen Afridi for the 2022 Pakistan Super League, 2022 season. Kamran Ghulam (born 10 October 1995) is a Pakistani cricketer. He was part of Pakistan's squad for the 2014 ICC Under-19 Cricket World Cup. In September 2019, he was named in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa's squad for the 2019–20 Quaid-e-Azam Trophy tournament. Samit Rohit Patel (born 30 November 1984) is an English cricketer. A right-handed batsman and a slow left-arm bowler, he plays first-class cricket for Nottinghamshire County Cricket Club. David Wiese (born 18 May 1985) is a South African-born Namibian cricketer who currently plays for Namibia in international cricket. Mohammad Hafeez ( Punjabi and ur, ; born 17 October 1980) is a former Pakistani international cricketer. Hafeez was a versatile batsman who could bat anywhere in the top 6 and formed part of the bowling attack.
