Alfred Lagarde (2 April 1948 – 1 January 1998) was a Dutch radio personality. Born in Groningen, Lagarde presented the hard rock radio program ''Betonuur'' from 1974 to 1979. Lagarde was a great proponent of hard rock and heavy metal; he also produced the first single of Dutch-language hard rock act Vandale, in 1979. Lagarde performed the original voice of Telly on ''Sesamstraat'', the Dutch co-production of ''Sesame Street ''Sesame Street'' is an American educational children's television series that combines live-action, sketch comedy, animation and puppetry. Charles Lagarde
Charles Lagarde (13 September 1878 – 18 April 1954) was a French athlete. He competed in the discus throw and shot put at the 1908 Summer Olympics and the 1912 Summer Olympics. Biography He represented France twice at the Olympic Games in the discus and shot put events. He competed a first time at London in 1908 and a second time at Stockholm in 1912. His best results in the competition were 22nd place in the shot put and 27th place in the discus throw. In 1912, he led the French delegation when the athletes entered the Olympic stadium. He managed to win three bronze medals at the French Athletics Championships in 1909, 1910 and 1911. Lagarde served in World War I, beginning in August 1914. He was awarded the croix de guerre with a bronze star for his actions during the conflict. Lagarde was between 1932 and 1952 the president of the Section paloise. Christine Madeleine Odette Lagarde (; née Lallouette, ; born 1 January 1956) is a French politician and lawyer who has been serving as President of the European Central Bank since 2019. She previously served as the 11th managing director of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) from 2011 to 2019. Claude François Chauveau-Lagarde (1756–1841) was a French lawyer who came into the public spotlight in the early stages of the French Revolution. He defended many notable cases during the Reign of Terror, including that of Marie Antoinette. Life Chauveau-Lagarde was already a respected lawyer in Paris when the Estates General of 1789 were convoked. He published a hopeful ''Théorie des états généraux ou la France régénérée''.
