Lafiteau, also called Carrefour Lafiteau, is a small industrial port town, about nine miles north of the capital, Port-au-Prince, in the commune of Cabaret in the Haiti. It lies to the south of Titanyen. Many supply ships entered this port in the aftermath of the 2010 Haiti earthquake as part of earthquake relief operations. The road to the port is maintained well after the earthquake, and the port and its jetties also, which suffered damages due to the earthquake, are in continuous process of refurbishing. Geography Lafiteau, with an average elevation of , is east-southeast of Ile à Cabrit and southwest of the coast. Several shoal patches are distributed less than a miles off the coast. Cabaret, Haiti
Cabaret ( ht, Kabarè) is a commune in the Arcahaie Arrondissement, in the Ouest department of Haiti. In 2009, the commune had 62,063 inhabitants. During his dictatorship, François Duvalier renamed it Duvalierville ( ht, Divalyevil); in 1961 a construction project was begun. Gilbert Bigio is a retired Haitian businessman. He is the founder of GB Group and Haiti's only billionaire. He was sanctioned by the Government of Canada for his involvement in arms trafficking and human rights violations in Haiti.
