Yasmine Dubois, known professionally as Lafawndah, is a singer, songwriter, producer and director. Early life Lafawndah was raised in Paris, France, and is of Egyptian, Iranian, and English descent. She has lived across the world in various cities, including Los Angeles, Mexico City and London. Career During her time in Mexico City, Lafawndah co-founded the girl group NIDADA. After a term at the Red Bull Music Academy, she recorded and co-produced her self-titled EP ''Lafawndah'' with Garagem Banda, which was self-released in 2014. In 2016 Lafawndah's ''Tan'' EP was released on Warp Records. The project was created with contributions from L-Vis 1990 and Nick Weiss of Teengirl Fantasy. In 2018 Dubois partnered with Midori Takada to create the multimedia piece ''Le Renard Bleu,'' Takada's first release for almost twenty years. Midori Takada
Midori Takada ( ja, 高田みどり) (born December 21, 1951) is a Japanese composer and percussionist. She has been described as a pioneer of ambient music, ambient and minimalism (music), minimalist music. Early career and Mkwaju Ensemble Takada graduated from Tokyo University of the Arts and began her musical career as a percussionist with the Deutsches Symphonie-Orchester Berlin, Berlin RIAS Symphonie-Orchester in the mid-1970s. She became dissatisfied with the Western classical musical tradition and returned to Japan to study African drumming and Indonesian gamelan, as well as the early minimalism (music), minimalism of Steve Reich and Terry Riley. She channeled these influences into the group Mkwaju Ensemble which she formed with Joe Hisaishi, Yoji Sadanari, Junko Arase and Hideki Matsutake. Theon Cross
Theon Cross is a British tuba player and composer. Background Born and raised in London to a Jamaican father and Saint Lucian mother, he began taking tenor horn lessons at the age of 8, then switched to tuba when he was in his mid-teens. He studied at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama. Cross is a core member of the jazz band Sons of Kemet. He has also worked with Moses Boyd and Nubya Garcia in his solo projects. Tirzah is an English singer-songwriter. Her first solo record, the EP ''I'm Not Dancing'' was released in 2013 on Greco-Roman. Kae Tempest (formerly Kate Tempest; born 22 December 1985) is an English spoken word performer, poet, recording artist, novelist and playwright.
