Lae Bombers
The Lae Bombers (from 2006 onwards they were known as the Lae LBC Bombers for sponsorship reasons) was a rugby league team that represented the Morobe Province in the PNG NRL competition. They were involved in the competition from 1990 until 2012. They played their home-ground matches in the city of Lae, the second largest city in Papua New Guinea. History Since the inception of the SP Cup Competition in 1990, the LBC Lae Bombers have been one of the most consistent and competitive teams to participate in the competition. The Bombers had LBC - Lae Builders and Contractors as their major sponsor since 1990, making the partnership the longest in the game's history. Rugby league football, commonly known as just rugby league and sometimes football, footy, rugby or league, is a full-contact sport played by two teams of thirteen players on a rectangular field measuring 68 metres (75 yards) wide and 112–122 metres (122 to 133 yards) long with H shaped posts at both ends. Lae Rugby League Oval
Lae () is the capital of Morobe Province and is the second-largest city in Papua New Guinea. It is located near the delta of the Markham River and at the start of the Highlands Highway, which is the main land transport corridor between the Highlands Region and the coast. Morobe Province
Morobe Province is a province on the northern coast of Papua New Guinea. The provincial capital and largest city is Lae. The province covers 33,705 km2, with a population of 674,810 (2011 census), and since the division of Southern Highlands Province in May 2012 it is the most populous province. Makali P. Aizue (born 1977) is a Papua New Guinean former professional rugby league footballer who last played as a for Doncaster in Kingstone Press League 1. Personal life Aizue was born in Goroka, Eastern Highlands Province, Papua New Guinea. Club career Goroka Lahanis Aizue started playing for the Goroka Lahanis from 1998 to 2001.
