Ladla
''Ladla'' is a 1954 Bollywood film starring Karan Dewan and Shyama, produced and distributed by Varma Films. It was directed by Surya Kumar and written by Balkrishna Mauj. Plot The film's plot revolves around a love triangle. Prakash (Karan Dewan), the protagonist in this love triangle, is the son of a very wealthy man, and the darling (Ladla) of the family. When Prakash decides he wants to be an independent person, he gives up his extravagant lifestyle and together with his friend Johnny (Agha) moves to Bombay, where he gets himself a job and begins a new life. In Bombay, Prakash meets Neelu (Shyama) and the two of them fall in love. Surprisingly, a love triangle does not emerge between Prakash, Neelu and Johnny. Instead, Johnny befriends Sheelu (Krishnakumari) and they too fall in love. All seems to be going well for all four of them, until Motilal (S. Nazir) enters the picture. Shyama (Hindi Actress)
Shyama (born Khurshid Akhtar; 7 June 1935 – 14 November 2017) was an Indian actress who appeared in Hindi films. She was active between 1945 and 1989. She is best known for her roles in ''Aar Paar'' (1954 film) and '' Barsaat Ki Raat'' (1960 film). Career Born as Khurshid Akhtar in Lahore, Punjab in British India on 7 June 1935 into a Muslim family, Shyama moved to MUmbai from Lahore in the 1940s. As a young girl, she acted in a few films such as Noor Jehan's husband Shaukat Hussain Rizvi's Zeenat (1945 film) and ''Meerabai'' (1947). She worked with Shammi Kapoor in romantic classic Mirza Sahiban (1957). Director Vijay Bhatt gave her the stage name Shyama, by which she is credited in her movies. She had starring roles in Guru Dutt's classic ''Aar Paar'' (1954 film), and later in '' Barsaat Ki Raat'' (1960 film), which was perhaps her best performance. Karan Dewan
Karan Dewan (born Dewan Karan Chopra; 6 November 1917 - 2 August 1979) was an Indian cinema actor in Hindi films. He worked in over seventy films from 1941 to 1979. He started as a journalist while still in college, editing a film-based magazine in Urdu. His brother was the film producer and director Jaimani Dewan. His decisive film was ''Rattan (film), Rattan'' (1944), which was produced by his brother Jaimini Diwan, and this movie had turned out to be the biggest hit of 1944. He also sang songs in this movie under music director Naushad, and his song "Jab Tum Hi Chale Pardes" became popular. Talat Mahmood (24 February 1924 – 9 May 1998) was an Indian playback singer who is considered one of the popular male Indian film song and ghazal singers. Although he tried his luck as a film actor, he did not succeed a great deal in acting. Shamshad Begum (Hindi: शमशाद बेगम, IAST: ''Śamśād Bēgam''; 14 April 1919 – 23 April 2013) was an Indian singer who was one of the first playback singers in the Hindi film industry. Raja Mehdi Ali Khan (23 September 1915 – 29 July 1966) was an Indian poet, writer and a lyricist. Early life and career Raja Mehdi Ali Khan was born on 23 September 1915 at Karamabad village, near Wazirabad, Gujranwala District of Punjab, British India. Mehdi Ali lost his father when he was four.
