Youth At The Helm
''Youth at the Helm'' ( hu, Helyet az ifjúságnak) is a Hungarian-language play by Paul Vulpius, the joint pen name of Ladislas Fodor and , which premiered in Budapest in 1933. The play was also staged in Vienna, Austria in 1933 under the title ''Hau-ruck'' using a German language translation of Fodor and Lakatos's play by Hans Adler who also adopted the pen name Paul Vulpius. Adler's German language translation was the source material for two different English language translations of the play: ''Youth At the Helm'' by Hubert Griffith (1896–1953), used frequently in the United Kingdom during the 1930s, and ''Help Yourself'' by John J. Coman for the work's Broadway production in 1936. The play has also been staged using the titles ''Jugend voran'' (Germany) and ''L'affare Kubinsky'' (Italy). ''Thunder in the Night'' is a 1935 American crime film directed by George Archainbaud and written by Frances Hyland and Eugene Solow. It is based on the 1934 play ''A Woman Lies'' by Ladislas Fodor. Schamyl Bauman
Magnus Schamyl Bauman (4 December 1893 – 28 February 1966) was a Swedish film director (in 1931-57). Born in Vimmerby, Småland. First studied law and modern languages at Uppsala University. In 1917 he began to work with translating text lines for international silent films (to Swedish), which he did successful throughout the 1920s. In this way he watched many different films by some of the best silent film directors in the world which started an interest in filmmaking and in the arts of film. In 1929-30 he started the film company Europafilm with Gustaf Scheutz where he made some of his early films as a director. Lloyd Francis Bacon (December 4, 1889 – November 15, 1955) was an American screen, stage and vaudeville actor and film director. As a director he made films in virtually all genres, including westerns, musicals, comedies, gangster films, and crime dramas. Footsteps In The Dark (film)
''Footsteps in the Dark'' is a light-hearted 1941 mystery film, starring Errol Flynn as an amateur detective investigating a murder. Plot Francis Warren (Errol Flynn) appears to have a normal life handling investments, but secretly he writes lurid detective novels under the pseudonym F.X. Pettijohn. His other career is unknown to wife Rita (Brenda Marshall) or to anyone but Inspector Mason ( Alan Hale), who mocks the books, insisting that true crime is much more difficult to solve. Irving Caminsky (October 9, 1888 – April 18, 1959) was an American movie actor and director. Career Born in New York City, Cummings started his acting career at age 16 in ''Diplomacy''. His Broadway, performances included ''In the Long Run'' (1909) and ''Object -- Matrimony'' (1916). Acting in the Proctor Stock Company, Cummings appeared with Lillian Russell and other actresses. He entered into movies in 1909, acting with the P. A. Powers company in Mount Vernon, New York, and quickly became a popular leading man.
