Andrew Lackey
Andrew Reid Lackey (October 29, 1983 – July 25, 2013) was a prisoner executed for the October 31, 2005 murder of Charles Newman, an eighty-year-old World War II veteran. Lackey became the first person executed by the state of Alabama since October 20, 2011; executions had been partly slowed because of a legal dispute over the drugs being used. No further executions would occur in Alabama until the January 2016 execution of Christopher Brooks. Murder and arrest Lackey broke into Newman's Limestone County home on Halloween night in 2005. Lackey had been told by Newman's grandson that there was a vault in the home containing gold bars and cash. Newman made a call to 911 on the night of the murder, in which he could be heard saying, “Don’t do that,” ”Leave me alone” and “What do you want?” Lackey could be heard repeatedly asking, “Where’s the vault?” according to court records. Ken Lackey
Kenneth Lackey (born 1943) is an American businessman and politician from Oklahoma who formerly served as the president of the University of Oklahoma-Tulsa. Lackey has previously served in numerous positions within the administration of Governor of Oklahoma Frank Keating, including Keating's chief of staff (1997–1999) and Oklahoma Secretary of Health and Human Services (1995–1997). In addition to his service as secretary, Lackey served concurrently as the executive director of the Oklahoma Office of Juvenile Affairs. Education and early career Lackey earned his bachelor's degree in mathematics from the University of Mississippi in 1965, and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Texas at Austin in 1967. Sir John Lackey (6 October 1830 – 11 November 1903) was a magistrate and politician in colonial New South Wales, President of the New South Wales Legislative Council 1892 to 1903. Early life Lackey was born in Sydney, New South Wales, son of William Lackey and his second wife Mary, O'Dowd.
