Lachlan Hansen (born 17 August 1988) is a former professional Australian rules footballer who played for the North Melbourne Football Club in the Australian Football League (AFL). AFL career Hansen was drafted by North Melbourne with pick three in the 2006 AFL draft. Prior to the 2006 AFL draft, Hansen was widely seen as one of the top key position players for his age group, and was expected to be selected by the Kangaroos in the number three spot. TAC Cup
The NAB League Boys (also referred to as simply the NAB League and formerly known as the TAC Cup) is an under-19 Australian rules football representative competition held in Australia. It is based on geographic regions throughout country Victoria and metropolitan Melbourne with each team representing twelve Victorian regions, while a thirteenth team from Tasmania was reintroduced in 2019. The competition is sponsored by National Australia Bank (NAB), having previously been sponsored by the Transport Accident Commission (TAC) since its inception. Australian football, also called Australian rules football or Aussie rules, or more simply football or footy, is a contact sport played between two teams of 18 players on an oval field, often a modified cricket ground. North Melbourne Football Club
The North Melbourne Football Club, nicknamed the Kangaroos, is a professional Australian rules football club. The men's team competes in the Australian Football League (AFL), and the women's team in the AFL Women's (AFLW). The Kangaroos also field a reserves men's team in the Victorian Football League (VFL). The Australian Football League (AFL) is the only fully professional competition of Australian rules football. Scott Gumbleton (born 3 August 1988) is a former Australian rules footballer who played for the and Fremantle Football Clubs in the Australian Football League (AFL). Early career He was drafted by Essendon with the second selection in the 2006 AFL Draft. The Syd Barker Medal is awarded to the North Melbourne Football Club player who has been judged the best and fairest of the footy season. The award has been given out continuously since 1937. Before then it was known as the Syd Barker Memorial Trophy. The award is named after Syd Barker who was a popular captain of the North Melbourne Football Club in 1915-1919, 1921 & 1927.
