Lachie Young (born 6 April 1999) is an Australian rules footballer who plays for the North Melbourne Football Club in the Australian Football League (AFL). Early life Young is the elder brother of Fremantle player Hayden Young. He attended high school at Mornington Secondary College. Career Young was selected at pick #6 in the 2019 Rookie draft. He made his senior debut against Carlton in round 5 of the 2019 season. The Dandenong Southern Stingrays are an Australian rules football team in the NAB League, the Victorian statewide under-18s competition. 1992 saw the birth of the Southern Stingrays, developed under the leadership of Steve Kennedy (Regional Manager) and Ron Roach (Promotions Manager) with its home base located at Ben Kavanagh Reserve, Mordialloc, Victoria, Mordialloc. The side is coached in the inaugural year by Peter Russo. In 1995 the club moved from Mordialloc to Dandenong, Victoria, Dandenong and it also changed its name to the Dandenong Southern Stingrays. The North Melbourne Football Club, nicknamed the Kangaroos, is a professional Australian rules football club. Hayden Young (born 11 April 2001) is an Australian rules footballer who plays for the Fremantle Football Club in the Australian Football League (AFL). Early life and career Drafted with the 7th selection in the 2019 AFL draft from the Dandenong Stingrays in the NAB League, Young is the younger brother of the North Melbourne player Lachie Young. He was considered to be one of the best kicks in his draft class. He attended high school at Mornington Secondary College. The 2020 AFL season was the 124th season of the Australian Football League (AFL), the highest level senior men's Australian rules football competition in Australia, which was known as the Victorian Football League until 1989.
