Lac De Paladru
Lake Paladru (''Lac de Paladru, nicknamed "Lac Bleu" by local residents'') is a small lake located in the Isère ''département'' of Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes, near Charavines, in France. The lake was formed by the glacier of the Rhône. It is 5.3 kilometres long and 1.2 kilometres wide when full, the maximum depth is 36 metres. The lake is shared between four municipalities and two cantons. It is the fifth largest natural lake of glacier origin in France. It is a major archaeological site, with several protected natural areas that are inaccessible by the public. Geography Location Lake Paladru is located in the Isère ''département'', in the region of the Miocene hills of Bas-Dauphiné called "Terres froides" and between the towns of Voiron and La Tour-du-Pin. Nicolas Chorier
Nicolas Chorier (September 1, 1612 – August 14, 1692) was a French lawyer, writer, and historian. He is known especially for his historical works on Dauphiné, as well as his erotic dialogue called ''The School of Women, or The Seven Flirtatious Encounters of Aloisia'' (french: link=no, L'Academie des dames, ou les Sept entretiens galants d'Aloisia). He was born at Vienne, in present-day Isère. He practised as a lawyer in Grenoble and then as a prosecutor for King Louis XIV. Isère (river)
The Isère ( , ; frp, Isera; oc, Isèra) is a river in the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region of southeastern France. Its source, a glacier known as the ''Sources de l'Isère'', lies in the Vanoise National Park in the Graian Alps of Savoie, near the ski resort in Val-d'Isère on the border with Italy. An important left-bank tributary of the Rhône, the Isère merges with it a few kilometers north of Valence. Many riverside communes have incorporated the Isère's name into their own, for example, Sainte-Hélène-sur-Isère and Romans-sur-Isère. The department of Isère is likewise named after the river. La Bâtie-Divisin
La Bâtie-Divisin (; frp, La Bâtia-Devesins) is a former commune in the Isère department in the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region of south-eastern France. On 1 January 2016, it was merged into the new commune of Les Abrets en Dauphiné. The inhabitants of the commune are known as ''Récugnots'' or ''Récugnotes''. Geography La Bâtie-Divisin is located some 23 km east by south-east of Bourgoin-Jallieu and 15 km north of Voiron. Access to the commune is by the D1075 from Les Abrets in the north which passes through the village and continues south to Montferrat. The D28 goes south-east from the village to Saint-Geoire-en-Valdaine. The D50C links the south of the commune to Montferrat. The D50 branches from the D1075 at the southern border and goes south-west to Paladru. Apart from the village there are the hamlets of La Chapelle in the north and La Charrière in the south.
