Lac-Tremblant-Nord
Lac-Tremblant-Nord is a small village and municipality in the Laurentides region of Quebec, Canada, part of the Les Laurentides Regional County Municipality. Its territory surrounds the northern portion of Lake Tremblant, includes Bibite Lake, and extends to Gervais Lake. The village is located on the south shore of the Lake Tremblant, a few kilometres west of the Mont Tremblant Resort. Permanent inhabitants of Lac-Tremblant-Nord are few, but its population increases greatly during summer and winter holidays. History The municipality was formed in 1915 out of the territory of Labelle by its residents who were determined to join in order to protect the territory. Lac-Tremblant-Nord was among the 4 municipalities that were regrouped to form the new Town of Mont-Tremblant on November 22, 2000. But it was reinstated as a municipality on January 1, 2006. Lake Tremblant (French: ''Lac Tremblant'') is a lake in the Laurentides region of Quebec, Canada, at the foot of the eponymous Mont Tremblant. South of the lake is the city of Mont-Tremblant, and the municipality of Lac-Tremblant-Nord borders on the western and northern sides of the lake. Lac Tremblant, wedged between mountainous ridges, is a long and narrow lake with about 7 islands and 5 prominent bays. Surrounded by a dense mixed forest, the lake is situated in the transition zone between the deciduous forests of the Saint Lawrence valley and Canada's boreal forests. Mont-Tremblant () is a city in the Laurentian Mountains of Quebec, Canada, approximately northwest of Montreal and northeast of Ottawa, Ontario. The current municipality with city status was formed in 2000. Labelle (provincial Electoral District)
Labelle is a provincial electoral district in the Laurentides region of Quebec, Canada that elects members to the National Assembly of Quebec. It notably includes the municipalities of Mont-Laurier, Mont-Tremblant, Rivière-Rouge, Mont-Blanc, Lac-des-Écorces and Labelle. It was originally created for the 1912 election from part of the Ottawa electoral district. Its final election was in 1970. It disappeared in the 1973 election and its successor electoral district was Laurentides-Labelle. However, Laurentides-Labelle disappeared in the 1981 election and its successor electoral district was the re-created Labelle. In the change from the 2001 to the 2011 electoral map, its territory was unchanged. The overall response rate was 98%, which is slightly lower than the response rate for the 2016 census. It recorded a population of 36,991,981, a 5.2% increase from 2016.
