Sergent Lake
Lake Sergent is a freshwater body located in the municipality of Lac-Sergent, in the Portneuf Regional County Municipality, in the administrative region of Capitale-Nationale, in Quebec, in Canada. The shores of Lac Sergent have a high density of residences and chalets, particularly in the village of Lac-Sergent, located south of the lake. Vacationing began around 1896 at Lac Sergent, whereas at Sept-Îles Lake it dates back to 1857–1858. Geography Lac Sergent is located on the north shore of the Saint-Laurent river, between Saint-Raymond and Sainte-Catherine-de-la-Jacques-Cartier. It is the smallest of the three large resort lakes in the area, the others being Saint-Joseph Lake and Sept-Îles Lake. Saint-Raymond, also called Saint-Raymond de Portneuf, is a city in Quebec, Canada, located about north-west of Quebec City. It is the largest city in population and area of the Portneuf Regional County Municipality. Geography Saint-Raymond is located on either side of the Sainte-Anne River. The 2016 Canadian census was an enumeration of Canadian residents, which counted a population of 35,151,728, a change from its 2011 population of 33,476,688. The census, conducted by Statistics Canada, was Canada's seventh quinquennial census. The official census day was May 10, 2016. Census web access codes began arriving in the mail on May 2, 2016.
