Rita Naa Odoley Sowah
Rita Naa Odoley Sowah (born 2 July 1968) is a Ghanaian politician. She is a member of the National Democratic Congress (NDC). She is the first female member of parliament for the La Dade Kotopon Constituency. A native of Labadi in the Greater Accra Region, she previously served as the Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) for La Dade kotopon Municipal Assembly (LADMA) from 2013 to 2017. Teshie
Teshie is a coastal town in the Ledzokuku Municipal District, a district in the Greater Accra Region of southeastern Ghana. Teshie is the ninth most populous settlement in Ghana, with a population of 171,875 people. Politics Teshie is in the Ledzokuku constituency led by Hon. Ben Ayiku, a member of the National Democratic Congress, who succeeded Hon. Dr Bernard Okoe Boye of the New Patriotic Party. Amon Kotei
Nii Amon Kotei (24 May 1915 – 17 October 2011) was a Ghanaian sculptor, painter, musician, surveyor, and graphic artist. He is mostly remembered and celebrated as the designer of the coat of arms of Ghana. He was one of Ghana's leading artists. Early life Kotei was born on 24 May 1915, in a town called Labadi, located in the Greater Accra region of Ghana. He belonged to the Ga ethnic group. Education and military service Kotei was awarded a scholarship at Achimota School and later received a scholarship to study art at the London School of Printing and Graphic Art from 1949 to 1952. La Dade Kotopon Municipal Assembly is one of the twenty-nine districts in Greater Accra Region, Ghana. Originally it was formerly part of the then-larger Accra Metropolitan Assembly in 1988 (later as a sub-metropolitan district council on 2003), until the eastern portion of the district was split off to create La Dade Kotopon Municipal Assembly on 28 June 2012; thus the remaining part has been retained as Accra Metropolitan Assembly. Nii Amasah Namoale (born 14 July 1958) is a Ghanaian politician who served as member of parliament for Dadekotopon constituency in the Greater Accra region of Ghana from 7 January 2009 to 7 January 2017. Vincent Sowah Odotei is a Ghanaian politician and the former Member of Parliament of La Dadekotopon in the Greater Accra Region of Ghana. National Democratic Congress (Ghana)
The National Democratic Congress (NDC) is a social democratic political party in Ghana, founded by Jerry Rawlings, who was Head of State in Ghana from 1981 to 1993. He became the President of Ghana from 1993 to 2001. Following the formation of the Provisional National Defence Council (PNDC), which ruled Ghana following the military coup d'état on 31 December 1981, there was pressure from the international community to restore democracy. The NDC was formed as the ruling party ahead of elections in 1992, in which Rawlings was elected president, and in 1996 Rawlings was re-elected as the NDC candidate.
