Rita Naa Odoley Sowah (born 2 July 1968) is a Ghanaian politician. She is a member of the National Democratic Congress (NDC). She is the first female member of parliament for the La Dade Kotopon Constituency. A native of Labadi in the Greater Accra Region, she previously served as the Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) for La Dade kotopon Municipal Assembly (LADMA) from 2013 to 2017. Teshie is a coastal town in the Ledzokuku Municipal District, a district in the Greater Accra Region of southeastern Ghana. Nii Amon Kotei (24 May 1915 – 17 October 2011) was a Ghanaian sculptor, painter, musician, surveyor, and graphic artist. He is mostly remembered and celebrated as the designer of the coat of arms of Ghana. He was one of Ghana's leading artists. La Dade Kotopon Municipal Assembly is one of the twenty-nine districts in Greater Accra Region, Ghana. National Democratic Congress (Ghana)
The National Democratic Congress (NDC) is a social democratic political party in Ghana, founded by Jerry Rawlings, who was Head of State in Ghana from 1981 to 1993. He became the President of Ghana from 1993 to 2001. Following the formation of the Provisional National Defence Council (PNDC), which ruled Ghana following the military coup d'état on 31 December 1981, there was pressure from the international community to restore democracy.
