La Tour, Missouri
La Tour or Latour is an unincorporated community in southwestern Johnson County, Missouri, United States. The population was 65 at the 2000 census, at which time it was a village. La Tour disincorporated in 2009, and at the 2010 census the community, now listed as a census-designated place (CDP), had a population of 62. History La Tour was platted in 1885, and named after the local Latour family. A post office called Latour was established in 1886, and remained in operation until 1997. La Tour disincorporated on April 13, 2009, after an April 7 vote on the subject passed by the margin of 20 to 1. Geography The community is located in southwestern Johnson County on Missouri Route 2, about east of Harrisonville and west of Windsor. Port La Tour, Nova Scotia
Port La Tour is a community in the Canadian province of Nova Scotia, located in the Municipality of the District of Barrington of Shelburne County. The Historic Sites and Monuments Board of Canada asserts that Fort Saint Louis is located at Port La Tour, although this has been disputed. It has also been claimed that the fort at Port La Tour was Fort Lomeron (also known as Fort La Tour) and that Fort St. Louis was located at the neighbouring community of Villagedale, Nova Scotia. French Colony Cape Sable and Cape Negro, Nova Scotia were first settled by the Acadians who migrated from Port Royal, Nova Scotia in 1620. The French governor of Acadia, Charles de la Tour, colonized Cap de Sable giving it the present name, meaning Sandy Cape. Château Latour
Château Latour is a French wine estate, rated as a First Growth under the 1855 Bordeaux Classification, owned by Groupe Artemis. Latour lies at the very southeastern tip of the commune of Pauillac in the Médoc region to the north-west of Bordeaux, at its border with Saint-Julien, and only a few hundred metres from the banks of the Gironde estuary. The estate produces three red wines in all. In addition to its ''Grand vin'' ( LWIN 1012316), Latour has also produced the second wine Les Forts de Latour ( LWIN 1010309) since 1966, and a third wine, simply named Pauillac ( LWIN 1013821), has been released every year since 1989. It was first published in serialized form in the Franco-Belgian comics magazine ''À Suivre'' (#96-106), and as a complete volume first in 1987 by Casterman. Bulle (; frp, Bulo ) is a municipality in the district of Gruyère in the canton of Fribourg in Switzerland. In January 2006 Bulle incorporated the formerly independent municipality of La Tour-de-Trême. History Ancient times Bulle is first mentioned in the 9th century as ''Butulum''.
