''La señora del intendente'' (''The mayor's wife'') is a 1967 Argentine comedy film directed by Armando Bó and starring Isabel Sarli and Pepe Arias. The film had a sequel "Una Viuda descocada" (1980), which was Bó's last film. Production The 90-minute comedy film was made in 1967 for Sociedad Independiente Filmadora Argentina by director Armando Bó. The script was by Armando Bó and music by Elijio Ayala Morín. The film was shot entirely in San Pedro, Buenos Aires Province. This was the last film in which Pepe Arias appeared, and was released after his death. He looks tired beside Isabel Sarli. Synopsis The film is one of several made by Bó that depicted stupid men who desire Isabel Sarli, others being ''La mujer del zapatero'' and ''La viuda descocada''. The characters that Sarli plays exploit men's lust to obtain money and power. Hilda Isabel Gorrindo Sarli (; 9 July 193525 June 2019), nicknamed Coca, was an Argentine actress and glamour model who was known for starring in several sexploitation films by Armando Bó, especially in the 1960s and 1970s. She began her career as a model and beauty queen, becoming Miss Argentina and reaching the semi-finals of Miss Universe 1955. She was discovered by Bó in 1956 and made her acting debut the following year with ''Thunder Among the Leaves'', in which a controversial nude scene featuring Sarli made it the first film to feature full frontal nudity in Argentine cinema. Pepe Arias (''José Pablo Arias Martinez''; 16 January 1900 – 23 February 1967) was an Argentine actor and comedian. Early years José Pablo Arias Martinez was born in the former Mercado de Abasto district of Buenos Aires on 16 January 1900. He first appeared on stage in 1916, and became a remarkable stage actor in grotesque, comedy and drama roles.
