Guillermo Claudio La Rosa Laguna (born June 6, 1952) is a retired football forward from Peru. He competed for the Peru national football team at the 1978 and 1982 FIFA World Cup, wearing the number nineteen jersey. He’s nicknamed the 'tank' for his corpulence, Guillermo La Rosa scored the last Peruvian goal for 36 years against Poland in a World Cup match in Spain 1982. The 36 year cold streak was finally broken by Andre Carrillo when Peru defeated Australia 2-0 at the 2018 FIFA World Cup held in Russia. Julius La Rosa (January 2, 1930 – May 12, 2016) was an American traditional popular music singer, who worked in both radio and television beginning in the 1950s. Early years La Rosa was born of Italian-immigrant parents in the Brooklyn borough of New York City. He attended P.S. 123K in Bushwick. La Rösa is a hamlet in the upper part of the Val Poschiavo in the canton of Graubünden, Switzerland. It lies at above sea level on the southern approach to the Bernina Pass, and is in the municipality of Poschiavo, some north of the village of the same name.
