''The Passerby'' (original French title: ''La passante du Sans-Souci'', "The Passerby of Sans-Souci") is a 1982 French-West German drama film directed by Jacques Rouffio, based on the 1936 novel on the same name by Joseph Kessel, and starring Romy Schneider and Michel Piccoli.Insdorf p.40 It was Schneider's last film. It was shot at the Spandau Studios in Berlin and on location in Berlin and Paris. Wendelin Werner (born 23 September 1968) is a German-born French mathematician working on random processes such as self-avoiding random walks, Brownian motion, Schramm–Loewner evolution, and related theories in probability theory and mathematical physics. Gérard Klein (born 1937), known also as Gilles , is a French science fiction writer with sociological training. He is the editor of the prestigious science fiction series ''Ailleurs et Demain'' published by Robert Laffont and of the Le Livre de Poche science-fiction imprint.
