La Nueva Familia Michocana
La Nueva Familia Michoacana is a criminal organization formed in 2011 after the original La Familia Michoacana lost power in 2010 with the formation of the Knights Templar Cartel and Nazario Moreno's suspected death (he was not proven dead until 2014 with a DNA test). It is dedicated to drug trafficking and battling the CJNG criminal organization out of Tierra Caliente in Michoacán and Guerrero. Many of its leaders have been arrested for threatening and blackmailing people on social media. La Nueva Familia Michoacana operates in the southern areas of Mexico. Michoacán
Michoacán, formally Michoacán de Ocampo (; Purépecha: ), officially the Free and Sovereign State of Michoacán de Ocampo ( es, Estado Libre y Soberano de Michoacán de Ocampo), is one of the 32 states which comprise the Federal Entities of Mexico. The Balsas River (Spanish Río Balsas, also locally known as the Mezcala River, or Atoyac River) is a major river of south-central Mexico. Nemesio Oseguera Cervantes (; born 17 July 1966 or 17 July 1964), commonly referred to by his alias El Mencho (), is a Mexican drug lord and leader of the Jalisco New Generation Cartel (CJNG), an organized crime group based in Jalisco.
